Shire of Atherton Fishing Holidays

Nobody ever in reception, but that did not matter. Unit was perfect, best we have had in Australia. Good location

We liked the spacious room with sitting area and balcony. Airconditioning was strong, and it has no adjustment, only on or off - the hotel even recommends turning it off at night! There is a ceiling fan however. Main pool was closed indefinitely, I think they could have let us know about that in advance... Smaller pool was OK, we didn't try the lap pool but others reported it very cold. Breakfast was a little disappointing for the price ($35/$38.50 on weekends), limited range and most of the hot food wasn't hot.

Clean and in the middle of the city. Short walks too.

Great

Stayed for one night prior to an early international flight. It’s in a great location and the staff were very friendly.

Location is very good, rooms are very good, however very location dependent. Some of the so called resort rooms especially on low floors have absolutely horrible views, views basically of roof tops and other units’ walls. Staff who initially checked us in gave us room 222, we were only moved when we protested vehemently and threatened to notify Expedia. Otherwise the facilities while on the older side, it’s pretty good.

Good location, premium feeling overall even though it would benefit from a renovation. Swimming pool is nice but I would suggest to add some shaded area. Breakfast was good.
