Tean Island Fishing Holidays

The staff at this hotel were very lovely and helpful. It is also very beautiful as you walk in as it is all open, and almost has a miniature forest you walk through to get to your rooms and the pool/beach. We went down to the beach a few times as it was so close to the hotel. The beach is truly beautiful, white sandy beach with clear blue water. It was not very busy when we visited, but this may be due to low season. The pool was also very well kept and clean, The location of the hotel was truly great and we walked down the road most nights to find a restaurant for dinner. It was also not too far from the docks for boat trips. The breakfast in the morning was great and had loads of options, and many vegetarian choices. The only negative we had was the room service. We ordered 2 pizzas, which were made using ready made bases and very honestly not very nice. They were also quite expensive for Thailand at almost £9 each. I could probably buy something better from the supermarket for a lot less. The rooms also do not get completely dark, and you can see shadows of people walking past you. Apart from this we enjoyed our stay.

Bandara was everything we were looking for for our family holiday with a 13 and 9 year old. Great facilities, a pool we lived in, a kids club they both enjoyed and made them feel independent, and a fantastic location on the beach and edge of Fisherman’s Village. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I was also easily able to arrange a pick up from the airport which made arriving to the island very easy with kids. We couldn’t recommend Bandara high enough if you are looking for a family resort in the Bophut area of Koh Samui.

Very disappointing for the price we paid. It may have been nice 20 years ago, but it’s now dated and a far cry from the luxury it promises.

Highly recommend the Suite (Holiday Sea View)-the view is impeccable. Lots of stairs though, but thankfully staff carries your bags to and from the room. It’s a little farther from the shopping/nightlife, but this makes for a quiet escape.

Had a fantastic stay for 8 nights with family of 4. Highlights included access to water sports including sailing, very friendly and helpful staff, particularly for managing our food allergies at breakfast and other meals, the villa with pool, and beach. A great place to relax and unwind.
