Southern Moreton Bay Islands Fishing Holidays

We were greeted by Riley at reception, who is professional, well-presented and helpful. The room was clean, tidy, and faced an entertaining point of the green. We enjoyed the pool. Unfortunately, the shower switch was broken, meaning only the bath was available for refreshing upon return to the room. Additionally, the power point on the window side of the bed is broken: the switch doesn't turn off and when I put my charger into the socket there was a pop. There was also a peculiar scent about the room when we arrived. We were disappointed room service wasn't an option. Overall, a pleasant stay that we enjoyed. 3½ stars out of 5. Many thanks to all staff who keep the resort running.

Beach view was magnificent.

The room was very clean and the welcoming was lovely. There was a bit to take in on check-in as its a locked community. We didn't get where to leave the key but text them and they found them. I think it needs some written instructions.

The hotel facilities and room were spotless and excellent, everything needed for our stay. The staff were welcoming and helpful anytime we asked for anything The only minor comment there were some maintenance work being carried out in the outdoor pool area which we received no notification of and was not acknowledged when we checked in

Still well maintained and enjoyable. Not alot of staff around so service can be a bit slow at times.

The good: Location - my villa was surrounded by rainforest. It was quiet inside with doors and windows closed, but you could enjoy the sights and sounds on the balcony, with 2 chairs and a lounger. Villa was nicely appointed and large. Liked that there was a fridge, m/wave, toaster, kettle, plates, glasses cutlery etc for 2. Also the fireplace would be nice in winter Other nice inclusions: insect repellant, insect coils, large flashlight, robes, slippers. The bad: No wifi. Listing said 32in TV with premium channels. TV was actually larger, but premium channels are only available if you have your own wifi service and subscriptions. I am travelling on limited international plan so this was an issue. There was supposed to be free over-air TV channels, but these did not work (‘no signal’ message. Plantation shutter on windows were good to keep out light, but there are 2 large windows above the sliding doors with no cover so room was ‘light’ at 5 am. Checkin/out: When I arrived, reception was open but not staffed. Waited 15 and then called a mobile number shown on a note there. For checkout, it was locked up. Tried calling, went to voicemail which said it was full. Tried texting, no response. Ended up returning to villa and leaving keys there. Wish there were clearer instructions on what to do. No room servicing: Supposed to be daily cleaning etc, but no one came to me room. Fortunately, I was only there 2 days but still.

Older style property which was disappointing

Clean and very tidy room, free Foxtel, so many features included, basically it was fully contained unit.

The view from the apartment was stunning! We were 23 B. Very good set out in a 2x2 with balcony. The drains blocked up in the ensuite shower but cleared when it was off. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Perhaps limited reception hours were a bit awkward. We would stay there again though. The building is older but the facilities were good.

The pool was nice and not to far to walk to the beach.
