The room was awesome as we got upgraded (thank you) the staff were super friendly and helpful and the whole resort was first class l can recommend Legian Beach Resort without hesitation your sure to enjoy your stay. Absolutely enjoyed being tucked away, up in the jungles, overlooking the Ayung River. The service and the staff were truly amazing. I loved the option to take the free shuttle into the city center daily. I also enjoyed the food!! They had great prices that were comparable based on what you ordered!! I spent my birthday dinner at the resort for their sea food special as well as the traditional dance!! The live music & food was great! Free breakfast options are yummy… I stayed 5 days and would definitely come back!! Thank you to everyone who made my 39th birthday, a great solo trip!!

The resort is set in beautiful grounds, with the added bonus of a small on-site 'farm' and rice paddy - which is fascinating. Staff are friendly and helpful - however - both our check-in and check-out experience was not good - in fact was unprofessional and definitely compromised our stay. The pool villa we had was a bit dated, and there were a few issues with doors and taps, water pressure is inadequate for a supposedly 5* resort; - the wardrobe is way too small - not even enough for a single person. The shuttle service is welcome, but a bit restrictive - only 3 times a day and no evening visits after 5pm. Ubud traffic is horrendous - the resort is 3 km from Ubud but a taxi at 7pm would take 30 minutes. Outside the hotel there is a walkable shop and a few restaurants - but these are not as good as the hotel food and the roughly the same price. Both hotel restaurants are really good - but we were often the only ones in them. Overall a nice place to stay, but not good value and overpriced.
