Hotel staff and property were exceptional.

The apartment is amazing - open concept for kitchen and living room with a great view of the pier and water. Bedrooms are nicely separated with super comfy beds. Floor to ceiling windows have great shades for privacy too! Kitchen has great basics for cooking too - full spice rack and pots/pans. Will totally stay here again!

Very disappointing – nowhere near a 5 star! We stayed at the hotel for five nights, expecting the standard and service associated with a five-star hotel, particularly given that we had paid extra for a premium room on a higher floor. Unfortunately, the experience fell well short of those expectations. The hotel itself felt extremely tired, dated and poorly maintained. Most disappointing of all was the cleanliness. The condition of the room and surrounding areas was simply not what we would expect from a five-star property. In our view, the hotel was operating at a standard closer to a two- or three-star property. We raised our concerns with the staff, who showed us alternative rooms on lower floors. While some of these rooms appeared to be in slightly better condition, this did not address the fundamental issue: we had specifically paid a premium for a higher-floor room. When we asked whether the difference between the premium higher-floor room we had paid for and a lower-floor room could be refunded if we accepted the alternative, we were told this was not possible. We were instead advised that we could cancel our existing booking and rebook another room at a lower floor at a higher cost. This was particularly frustrating and, in our view, showed very little willingness to resolve the problem fairly. We ultimately stayed for all five nights, but only because changing hotels at that stage would have been extremely inconvenient. Would never return and do not recommend!!
