Launceston Tamar and the North Adults Only Holidays

The hotel is in a great location, staff are lovely and the breakfast was great.

Whilst in a national park, it's hard to keep up appearances, although this is a tired lodge. The grounds are literally falling apart; the roads around the lodge are full of potholes, and maintenance seems to be a low priority. The rooms lack wifi (like it's 2025 eh) and the food is poor for the prices paid. It's average and we fortunately paid the high price for the top rooms, where talking with out guests at least we have a tv to watch in our room when the weather turned bad. Modern conveiences seem to be removed and whilst the nature experience is also all about the destination and tranquility so is modern conveniences expected. I would not return to this lodge.

Large, comfortable room and friendly staff in a slightly odd building. Location is across the river from town, but it’s a short walk through a lovely park and playground to reach the waterside eatery district. No cheap eats nearby; the on-site restaurant is pricey but excellent.

Clean room, one of the single bed rollers missing,full buffet breakfast for price of $23 was a bargain price, overall very satisfied with excellent staff!
