"When we checked in, the woman at the front desk seemed indifferent. She checked us in and handed me the keys, but didn’t provide any information about the hotel, such as where the pool or hot tub was located, what time checkout was, or any breakfast suggestions. Nothing at all. We booked the Premium room for that hotel and found we were facing a wall, no view even though the hotel is by the water. I went back downstairs to ask if there might be a room with a view, but before I could do that, the same woman who checked us in appeared distracted with "other work" even though I was the only person at the desk hoping to speak to someone. I eventually had the opportunity of receiving her attention after standing there for almost 10 minutes. She said she would check. It took almost anothe 10 minutes for her to tell me "no". So I stood there for 20 minutes in total with no consolation. When we eventually found the hot tub, it was far too hot. Two other guests there said the same thing and couldn’t use it either. It was unsafe to sit in for more than a minute at most. The most frustrating part was trying to take a nap on Saturday. Between 3:00 pm and 5:00pm housekeeping sounded like she was slamming drawers and throwing hangers or something. I peeked my head out to see what was going on. I never saw her, but the housekeeping cart only moved 6 feet in 2 hours for 2 rooms . She spent all that time in the two rooms near us making so much noise. Never heard a vacuum cleaner."

"Staff were lovely upon check in! Parking super easy! Location amazing for ferry proximity! Room cleanliness? Well… it definitely hadn’t been swept in days. Also used wash cloth found on bathroom floor and stains on sink vanity."

"It was stressful that after paying for the hotel we had to wait in line the day of to buy pool tickets to hopefully get them. We were not allowed to purchase them at check in. It was the only reason we booked the trip. If it sold out we would have been out of luck and there wouldn’t have been anything for the kids to do. "

"A Quick stay but the room was large and comfortable and clean an the staff was excellent"

"Our recent stay at Cape Sands Inn was disappointing. We requested a room with a patio and were told none were available, yet it was clearly off season, most rooms appeared empty, and there were barely any cars in the parking lot. It did not seem accurate or accommodating. Customer service was poor. The staff member assisting me was texting on his phone during check-in and kept looking at his screen instead of giving proper attention. It felt rude and unprofessional. The towels in the bathroom looked clean at first because they were folded neatly, but once opened there were old stains on them. That raised concerns about cleanliness. The hotel amenities listed kids games and activities, but there were none available besides the pool and hot tub. There were also no lifeguards present, which is important information for families with children. Pool and hot tub was okay. No snacks in the vending machine and barely any drinks in there. Overall, the experience did not match what was advertised. I would not recommend staying here."

"My daughter and I had a great time. Red Jacket never disappoints. Can’t wait to go back ❤️"

"We enjoyed our stay at the resort. The indoor pool and hot tub were perfect. We enjoyed the fire by the bay. The walls are thin and we ended up using a white noise ap to block out the noise. A warning to anyone who struggles with stairs. There is not an elevator and even if you get a first floor room the breakfast buffet is gonna flight of stairs. If stairs aren’t an issue for your group then this is a great hotel."

"Unfortunately we didn’t sleep well since there was a dog in another room barking all night. Also the jacuzzi we filled up and didn’t stay like that it has a hole and never filled. Blower in room don’t work either. This place use to be a great place and great rooms this one unfortunately wasn’t that good."
