THE STAFF WAS VERY ACCOMODATING AND THE HOTEL WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. IT WAS A HASSEL GETTING TO THE CITY, HOWEVER, THE HOTEL PROVIDES A SHUTTLE TO THE TRAIN, AND WILL PICK YOU UPON UPON RETURNING.

Five Zurich was an amazing Hotel. It felt 5 star immediately upon arrival The staff was amazing! Very attentive and extremely nice Zainab was the cherry on top. She helped plan out whole stay in Switzerland and helped us figure out trains and day passes The food was top notch! Every restaurant was so good Not one bad meal. The pool was beautiful, great service by the pool No complaints, can go on and on

Not much within walking distance. Some staff were great. Some so so. East Wing is a very long walk to pool and restaurants. Very good value though and would stay again. Pool is very nice. Gym not so much. Serious weight lifters will be very disappointed. Breakfast buffet crazy expensive. Overall facility is very clean, modern, well maintained.

Only reason I’m leaving anything less than 5 stars is because when you book the east wing as they call it, it’s not even in the same building as the main glamorous hotel. You have to walk through an extremely long underground tunnel to a totally opposite hotel. Not convenient if you’re wanting to use the spa or restaurants or bar. The rooms are extremely tiny. No room for suitcases.

Don’t get a room in the “East Wing”! More than 100m away, accessed through a weird tunnel. Can’t turn the air con off. Building site outside the room, with workers walking past the window at 8am. Toilet completely visible through window from bedroom, so no privacy. Very disappointing

Rude and unorganized Front Office

This was my 2nd stay and it was very unpleasant. During my first visit, I forgot my Chanel makeup bag and medication at the hotel. When I booked again two days later, called ahead to request my items upon arrival, but they were locked away and unavailable. In the morning, there was no note left for the next shift, so I had to explain everything again. It took 40 minutes to locate my belongings, despite my urgency for a business meeting. All this time, I asked to see the manager, but the receptionist insisted no one was available. Then they even said, “Do you get what I am telling you?” and even raised his voice at me. Eventually, I did managed to meet with the GM, who apologized, but overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Nice family trip

Overall, we had a very nice trip. The atmosphere and decor were very nice, and the food was good. The hotel staff were all really wonderful. The location is away from other things, so plan on having to go a distance to eat or plan on eating at the hotel. There was some wear-and-tear in the room (e.g., chipped doors), which was surprising for such a nice, new hotel, but might speak more to the typical clientele, which I assume is more of a party crowd. We decided on this hotel solely because it had a pool, and our toddler loves to swim. We did not find out until we went to use the pool that it is for 16+. We looked on both hotels.com and the hotel website prior to booking and it did not state that anywhere. They are accommodating to children swimming from 10-12 in the morning, but it is important to know if you are going with a family. The location is very accessible with public transportation if you are willing to walk up a slight hill for about 8-10 minutes. We used it to get to-and-from the downtown and the airport, and it was very easy.
