Set in the heart of Zermatt and surrounded by stunning Alpine scenery, it felt like stepping into a postcard, especially at Christmas. Fast check in ans thanks to the staff handling my check in, for the free upgrade. The one bedroom is super nice and big and everything looks so wonderful. Housekeeping is very diligent and do housekeeping twice a day. Breakfast is very good, gym is very good, the whole hotel looks magnificient and grand (wow). Would definitively love to stay in there again, its the best hotel i ever stayed in switzerland so far.

Check-in was poor, we were not picked up at train station as promised. Also, room was not ready, and when concierge gave us room key , again room still needed to be cleaned ☹️. However, after manager intervened, all great. He gave us an upgrade (suite), with Matterhorn view😊👍. Thereafter, everything great, wonderful staff and excellent breakfast.
