We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the adonis Hotel. We were upgraded to what we thought was the best room in the hotel as it had a balcony and a view of the Matterhorn. You need to be in good health though as there are no cars allowed and the streets are quite hilly. But the cable car access to the mountains was quite close and made for an amazing and unforgettable experience.the breakfast was quite plain but sufficient and the staff were extremely helpful.

A short taxi trip from the main train station. And a very short walk to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise cable car. Beautiful view of the Mettelhorn /Platthorn. Very helpful and friendly staff. The most quiet hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Very happy. Also securely held our luggage after checkout to enable us to travel hike a bit more.

Clean room with a comfortable bed in a nice area. 5 min walk west to the gondola taking you up to The best skiing. 5 min walk east to local grocery and the downtown with nice views of the Matterhorn. This hotel is slightly further out of Zermatt than most others we looked at (so about a 15 minute walk from the train station instead of 5...not a big deal). We chose it because we did not want to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the main areas of Zermatt. We really appreciated how quiet it was. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and for a small buffet it still included lots of options. Our room had a little deck that overlooked a back garden which at the time had flowers and birds and was lovely to sit out and look over. The staff were friendly and helpful. Check in was quick, and our room was a good size. The bedding in our room was very comfortable. We (myself and my two teens) would stay there again.
