During the Spring, Summer and Autumn months enjoy relaxing walks in the neighborhood and close by Rabe meadow. Elk Point is a great central location for exploring Lake Tahoe. And once winter is upon us it is a short drive to Heavenly Base Lodges on both Nevada and California sides. There are no large hills to navigate which makes driving during snowstorms much less stressful. And if you visit during the summer months you won't want to leave this little slice of heaven!
This cozy home is located in the private gated community of Elk Point on the Nevada side of South Tahoe. It is wonderfully decorated & has plenty of room for your family to enjoy. There are 3 Queen Beds and 2 Single beds (singles suited for children).
It is just 3 miles from Stateline casinos & the Heavenly Village. Safeway supermarket is just up the street. This is not a lakefront home, but year round you can enjoy the large sandy private neighborhood beach which is a SHORT WALK away. It is a large sandy beach with volleyball court and roped swim area. No need to fight the beach crowds or get in line at 7am just to get beach parking!!! Enjoy the lake at your leisure!
The house has a wonderfully cozy feel with a modern kitchen and wonderful dining area. The yard is fenced with grass so great for families. There is a big family bedroom which is like 2 separate bedrooms only with no door between them so perfect if you have little ones. There is a small 3 person hot tub located on the back deck.
Guests have access to the whole house with the exception of the garage which is locked off. There is a carport to park underneath. Please note that there is a security camera located in the carport which will be on during your stay.
Photo ID must be e-mailed or texted to host to confirm your reservation. This is required by Douglas County. Additionally, all guests over the age of 18 must acknowledge they have read and understand the house rules. Signatures will be required upon check in. The local contact will personally meet you at the house to collect the signatures and make sure all Douglas County and neighborhood HOA rules are understood and will be followed for the enjoyment of all. We are also happy to answer any question and give suggestions on area activities etc.
SNOW REMOVAL NOTE: Whether you came to Lake Tahoe to hit the slopes, build a snowman, or simply to relax by the fire, staying at a private home there are a few added responsibilities in regards to snow removal during your stay. I provide snow shovels and ice melt which are located next to the front door. If there is a snow storm during your stay of more than 5 inches someone will come by to clear snow in the parking area. I will also come by to help clear the front and back deck usually within 12 hours. You may have to dig your way out if you need to leave before the snow can be cleared. The neighborhood roads are plowed by the HOA caretaker and Elk Point Road, past the neighborhood gate, is plowed by the County and usually cleared at least once a day during a storm. Highway 50 is cleared on a regular basis during storms.
During winter storm periods I make sure to stay in contact with guests regarding local conditions to make sure they have any vital information regarding the weather and road conditions. I want you to be safe and enjoy our winter wonderland!
I live close by so am available to you should you need anything during your stay.
Maximum nighttime occupancy is 8 people. Maximum daytime occupancy is 12 people.
Gatherings and events that exceed the maximum occupancy of the house are prohibited.
Maximum of 3 vehicles are allowed at property. Guests will be issued 3 parking placards which they and their guests must display on the driver’s side dashboard of their vehicles. All cars must be in the designated parking areas, and failure to park in the designated parking areas and/or display the parking placards may result in a citation and fine of $500 from Douglas County.
Quiet hours are designated between 9:00 pm and 8:00 am and will be strictly enforced.

We had a wonderful time at the beach house. Quiet setting, wonderful beach close by. House was comfortable and just perfect for kids and adults. Will look forward to going back!
Very great location. The beach is a 5-10 min walk away. There is a hot tub on the property itself. The place is central to many parts of South lake Tahoe.
Everything from reservations, to check in was great and excellent communication from the start. The house is beautiful and very spacious. The location is amazing. Private beach in Tahoe. Heaven.
We had a great time at Kylie’s! Her home is beautiful, clean, and has an amazingly well-stocked kitchen, which is much appreciated! She also has prompt communication, and was very helpful with our arrival plans. We traveled with adults and young children, and enjoyed our time walking through the neighborhood and to the beach. We recommend Kylie’s home to anyone traveling in the area!
Our host,Kylie, communicated well, greeted us in person, and even replaced the propane tank on the bbq unit!

We wanted the activities of South Shore, but not the atmosphere. We were “just around the corner” from all that, but in a quiet and restful spot when we were “home”. Neighbors are very close, but except for a barking dog one night and some construction noises
This was one of the best houses I’ve ever stayed at, in fact, I feel like the listing and the pictures don’t do justice for how nice and well equipped the place is. Host is very communicative and responsive. My only suggestion (if any) would be maybe another television upstairs that’s about it. Very cozy, comfortable, spacious, accurate and great place to spend a holiday with your family.. I will definitely be coming back
Aside from the home itself, cannot speak highly enough of Kylie, our host, who resided nearby. As no one was in the prior day, she granted us an early check-in as a big winter storm was approaching. She was there clearing snow before, during and after as well! Home was cozy, clean and had everything you need and then some. And CATV too which is becoming more of a rarity these days as more owners cut cords for renters streaming services. Bedding was great, kitchen awesome, and a very large dining area that doubled as my work station. Gated community, pleasant walks on snowy roads inside the gates, superb, and a terrific hot tub on the back deck. A Safeway less than a mile away. Stateline maybe 3 miles away if that's your go to spot. US 50 will get you to Carson City in about 20-25 minutes where there is a Costco at the first signal there, gas about $1.50 cheaper a gallon than the Lake.
We had a great stay at the cabin again this Summer. This house is so comfortable and the location can't be beat. We love being able to walk to the community beach. Kylie is an excellent host.

The place was perfect for our ski trip o Heavenly. The kitchen is well stocked and the neighborhood was really nice. There's a nice walk down to Lake Tahoe in the neighborhood with breathtaking views. Would definitely stay here again.
This was an easy process and a memorable trip for the entire family. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. The home was very clean and cozy. We will definitely be returning.
