Clean hotel. Rooms, hallways, pool area, and coffee area, all clean and up-kept. Located in a quiet area, with a couple of eating options and a convenience store in close proximity. Chaz the front office (and the only staff in the hotel) was nice and helpful, but I had a bad experience, I requested that my room be cleaned and linens replaced, asked 2 house keeping persons in the hallway, and called and reminded the frontdesk in person when I was leaving for the day, but it wasn't touched when I returned after a long tiring day. Chaz apologized but was all by himself at the hotel and couldn't do much at that time, offered us to be moved to a different room, which I did but it was 2 levels up, and moving everything that was unpacked for a 2-night stay was much undesirable and unpleasant experience.

We traveled here to spend a few days during Tulip Time. Had a great stay. The property and rooms are are very clean and comfortable. Great location and minutes from the downtown and all hot spots.

We were looking for a bargain place to stay on the last leg of a long road trip, and this hotel was a pleasant surprise. Our room was comfy and practically laid out, and the shower was great. The gym has all the basics, and the continental breakfast is enough for a good start to the day. I also appreciated the eco-friendly refillable soaps, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, rather than the tiny disposable bottles. Our view was of a medical building under construction, but since we just needed a place to stay, this was no big deal. For the price, you’re not going to do better than this!

The Avid was an excellent place to stay, with a pool and other amenities and a cool vibe I didn’t expect to find for the price. The surrounding area was mostly construction and nothing to write home about. But inside it’s an excellent hotel with terrific service.

The hotel looks newer and has a fresh, modern feel to it. The lobby was nice with plenty of room to sit, eat, or work. Plenty of outlets at the tables. Room was clean with a nice large TV. Outlets and USBs at the bed table.

Excellent Stay
Very clean, relatively new hotel with very friendly and helpful front desk staff. The continental breakfast was good and very handy. Quiet location that has easy access to highways.

It was ok, but next time I'll stay somewhere else. They gave me a room that wasn't clean when I arrived around 9pm. They were fully booked and said they couldn't offer me a new room, but I asked a few more times and they eventually switched my room. Overall the property isn't cleaned or kept up as well as it could be. The rooms are noisy because you can hear everyone open and close their doors, walk around, etc. The 24 hour coffee and tea is great! Otherwise I'd say look elsewhere for a hotel.

Smelly but comfortable
The staff was very friendly and the hotel is nice and relatively clean. Our only complaint was that the bathroom had a bad moldy smell that permeated into the whole hotel room unless we kept the door closed. We’re not sure if it was the water or the walls, but other than that the room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Other reviews mentioned the smoke detector flashing a bright white light and ours did do that but it wasn’t keeping us up. We were only in town for a short stay so we didn’t make a big deal out of either of these things. The room did the trick, the price was good and the staff was friendly.

My wife and I are visiting Holland and Fenton for a short vacation. We have very much enjoyed our stay. The staff are friendly and eager to assist. We will definitely be back next fall!

Avid Hotels - 1 King bed, non-smoking room
We stayed in a king size room with a small desk and a small refrigerator. We had everything we needed. Hair dryer, iron board and steam iron included. We are very comfortable. Note the room does not have drawers to put away your clothes, only cubbies, so we kept our things in our suitcase. Plenty of places to hang your clothes if you brought clothes on a hanger. Room and bathroom are spacious for two people.

Very comfy beds, clean - maid service daily which not everyone does anymore. Decent breakfast- gets a little congested in serving area but plenty of space in lobby to eat. Love the 24 hour fresh coffee. In a quiet area though you can hear thru walls if people have their TV’s on loud. Weird lighting deal in bathrooms. All lights are motion-sensored and it’s bright if you are in there in the middle of the night. Nice staff.

Very pleased with everything - would have preferred vending machines over commissary at front desk and for breakfast to be available later (9:30 is only 8:30 for us in CST). Otherwise no complaints
