"I wouldn’t consider this area safe and would not recommend as a honeymoon destination. It was very noisy at night time, constant horning etc. There were insects everywhere, including indoors, lizards, ants, worms etc. Mary was very kind and ensured we had breakfast however, it wasn’t the most pleasant experience due to the location being very noisy and the cleanliness. "The hotel is very stylish and in a good location. It’s handy for the airport and Stone Town. The gardens are beautiful and the sunsets truly amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for staff and management. They were all incredibly polite and professional and always with a smile. Perhaps the most wonderful aspect for us was the peace and tranquility of the hotel and grounds. We will definitely return when our batteries need recharging! "

"The hotel is very new next to the new stadium sports complex which is one year old. There was some problems with the shower door and safe but the staff quickly moved us to another room. Breakfast and room service were very good. The shower has excellent strong water pressure and air cons work very well. You have to get a taxi into the centre of stone town which will cost you USD15 each way, but it is worth for the convenience of being away from the hustle and bustle - it was peaceful. "
