Bed and Breakfast in Zambia

"Gloria's is great. There was a few things that didn't work or took a little to get to be functional, but don't let that overshadow the care and energy that goes into the property, the service, the food and the overall vibe. Gloria is stellar, I had a solid breakfast on my porch in pretty superb weather. It is a little bit of a walk to town but I felt safe and had a great time!"

"This is an older property that was built to be a show pieced with brand name appliances, Samsung and LG, unusual for this part of the world. The property has suffered from a lack of expenditure in upkeep and could be fairly said to be looking a little worn. It also suffers from poor State run infrastructure with the area blacked out every day from 1400-2200. Our stay was saved by dedicated Night Manager whom was friendly and determined to ensure we had a pleasant stay. She pushed the owners...

"Featured room may not be what you get. The meals can be good. The staff is excellent and go out of their way to make you welcome and at home. This is not the place to be for comfort.If you need to be in touch with the local feel and atmosphere of the area, this is the ideal place."

"This place would not honour the fact that we had booked and paid with Expedia. We paid for one night with cash. We were kept awake into the early hours with the noise from the Roadhouse next dook. There were cockroaches in the bathroom. Staff were indifferent. We left the next day"

"These things were described as available at this property but in fact we’re not available at all: Air conditioning WiFi Restaurant Convenience store/shop Plus confusion when we departed about payment - it was paid online through Orbitz but the staff there did not understand that."

"Property is deliberately and deceptively misrepresented and marketed. There is no WiFi, no breakfast, leaking sinks, non-working shower heads etc It is a booking on Vacation Nightmare street. Please stay away for your sanity’s sake. Should not be listed on Expedia until major renovations and compliant processes are in place "

"Affordable hotel close to Livingstone airport. Clean and friendly staff. Very nice pool and the food was excellent."

"I did the reservation a couple of months before my departure. When I arrived at the gate of the Lodge, I was told that this is a residence not a Lodge and was told to go away. Can you imagine you travelled all the way from Canada to Zambia with a reservation in your hand and been told upon arrival at the Lodge to go away!"
