The hotel is located in the historic center overlooking the cathedral. The staff was courteous, helpful, friendly. We had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. The hotel is safe and clean. It was good to know ahead of time that the hotel has no air conditioning because it is a historic colonial building. The breakfast buffet is a bit pricey, Acropolis Restaurant next to the cathedral is a wonderful alternative at a very reasonable price. Considering the location, we would stay there again in our next visit. I certainly enjoyed a refreshing cup of “ Agua Miel”. A man and his donkey usually goes by the hotel every morning selling this agave drink.

Location is 10/10! Right in front of Plazas de Armas and the Cathedral. Many shops, coffee, food near by. The hotel is spectacular! I definitely recommend staying here on your next visit to Zacatecas City.

Hotel Emporio is well located in the center of Zacatecas. What stood out most was the staff, who were consistently helpful and attentive. They made check-in smooth, offered clear guidance on the area, and were quick to respond to anything I needed during my stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and overall the combination of location and service made for a very good experience.

Great staff especially Ivan, the bellman! Rooms were clean& amenities provided daily. Hotel was quiet at night& beds were comfortable. Buffet was good but expensive. Would be nice to get a discount for hotel guests! Check in was a little slow, could’ve had more than 1 person at front desk. Overall, a great stay at a great hotel!

I arrived early 6am and had to wait 6 hrs for the rooms. Although, I was willing to pay extra for early check in but apparently there were no rooms available. We had to wait in the lobby/Bar and kept asking if they had any rooms available and I did so because I would see people leaving but I guess they took hours to get the rooms ready. I felt no consideration from the staff as I had a senior with me. I was assigned rooms completely on opposite ends of the building. One on 1st floor on the west side and the other on the 6th floor in the east side. 1st floor room felt stuffy, dark not much ventilation although there are ceiling fans and window, no AC, outdated. 6th floor room fresher, ceiling fan, window and more light. Size wise about the same just different layout. Location is great, food is ok, same menu everyday but there’s a variety from classic breakfast to traditional Zacatecas food. The building does need some update: Air Conditioning, carpets and bathrooms for the 1st floor rooms I would think.
