"We loved this place. Gorgeous views of the bay, delightful staff and fellow guests, elegant holiday atmosphere. The room is spacious and stylish; the breakfast option is really good. Local organic farms abound, and the train ride into Shimabara is like a step back in time. The hotel is a short walk from the train station, and a convenient city bus goes to the historic volcano site, which is very compelling and informative. An hourly ferry goes to Kumamoto for connection with high speed trains....

"Even thought the hotel is old, due to aging city's economy and population decrease, however it was well maintained and clean. Staff was very kind. The view from the hotel room looking at Shimabara castle was fantastic. Location is very convenient, close to the arcade shopping area although most stores weren't operating, close to samurai residential street and carp street. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again. "

"Wonderful staying in this hotel. The hotel just located 2 min away from the bus terminal. There are many good restaurants in the mainstreet. There are lawson and familymart just next to the hotel, and Tsutaya, supermarket, 100yen store in within 5 min walking distance. The staff are very helpful. I love the design of the room. It is nice and clean. I love the room has many sockets and hangers which is a very user friendly setting. The shampoo and body wash smell very nice, even the left smell...
