"This is a lovely tree-surrounded retreat. Very quiet. Extremely clean in all areas, which was a treat. Decor a little dated, but comfortable & everything provided. Outstanding helpful staff. Mobile phone reception variable (as per other parts of Young on Optus). I had a 5 day stay, which was very relaxing. It was very cold weather outside but lovely & warm in room. Out of town but close to town. Recommend!"

"We spent eight unforgettable nights here—a peaceful retreat from the bustle of life in Penrith, Sydney. It was just the four of us: my wife Marianni, our dog Keio, and my cousin Martine. From the moment we arrived, the house greeted us with warmth—both from the fireplace already lit, and the tidy, well-cared-for spaces that immediately felt like home.Each morning began with a quiet walk at sunrise, just us and the wide open sky, with Keio joyfully leading the way. In the evenings, we lit the fire pit and gathered around to roast marshmallows and enjoy simple barbecued meals, camping style. A glass of wine by the indoor fire, watching a film as the wind whispered outside, made winter here something magical.The sunrises and sunsets are truly breathtaking—nature’s theatre right at your doorstep. This place is more than just a house; it’s a little pocket of stillness and beauty, and we are deeply grateful for the time we spent here.We’ll definitely return."

"Cath was a wonderful host. Home full of old world charm. The wood fire in the living room much appreciated on a cold but fantastic weekend away. House catered for 6 adults comfortably. Home set in a private yet convenient location. Lovely grounds. On a side note, recommend Twin Towns Pizza and Harden Country Club for great food"

"We have travelled through here many times and always call in to this hotel. Hospitality is always 100%. Food is always excellent value and tastes amazing. Never stayed overnight until this trip and found it to be excellent value for money, interesting set up as in we had to go out onto verandah to access our room and again to access our bathroom and toilet. Water pressure for the shower not the best, but was hot. Plenty of tea coffee, juice, bread and cereal available which is included in the price. Yes we would stay again "
