Rustic Retreat

Rustic Retreat is a traditional cabin-style home that hosts 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms located inside Yosemite National Park!

Feel the peace and let the joy fill you as you vacation in the Rustic Retreat. From the vaulted ceiling with wood beams and track lighting to the bedroom loft to the tree house feel as you look out over the front deck, this is the refuge you need to escape from the pressures of your daily life. Find the renewal that Yosemite offers while you rest and re-energize at the Rustic Retreat.

There is a loft room with a king-size bed, a second room with a queen-size bed, and a full-size sofa bed in the living room. Satellite-based Wi-Fi (not for Zoom calls or streaming) and air conditioning give this rustic home modern amenities. There is a TV and DVD player in the living room for movie watching.

30 minutes from Yosemite Valley, Glacier Point, and Wawona, the Rustic Retreat has a large kitchen and dining room where you can cook together and enjoy a bottle of wine, play games or lose yourself in a puzzle or good book. The propane grill on the dining room deck invites you to barbecue and enjoy your favorite grilled foods while resting from your hiking and exploring in beautiful Yosemite.


With 2 bedrooms and a full bath upstairs, a fold-out sofa with a half bath downstairs, a dining room, and a large living/family room, the cabin easily accommodates up to 6 people. Unfinished wood walls and adjustable lighting provide a unique, rustic feel while air conditioning, equipped kitchen, and new windows throughout provide the necessary modern conveniences.

Perfect base camp

This Rustic Retreat was located in a spot between everything we wanted to do. 30min from Yosemite Valley or Mariposa Grove. Seven miles from tunnel view. Price, location and amenities were ideal making it a perfect base camp for rest, meals, and family time.

Perfect base for visiting Yosemite

This is a great place to stay when visiting Yosemite. We spent 3 days looking around Yosemite Valley, Wawana, Tenaya Lake and other areas around Yosemite. While the decor and facilities are more on the vintage side, the cabin has everything you need for a short stay. We cooked twice and everything we needed was there. The balcony is a great place to sit out and chat in the evening and the living room is a fantastic indoor space. The washer/dryer are amazing. The shower is a bit weak but good enough. We went in Summer and the air conditioning provided welcome relief from the 37c/99f temperatures outside. The location is perfect and we even saw a couple of bears on Henness Ridge Drive. We really enjoyed our stay in Yosemite and Rustic Retreat provided the ideal place to stay while we were there.
