Good location with a 30-minute walk into York mostly along the riverside. There’s a playground right outside the back gate. On the downside, the place smelt strongly of a mix of cleaner and cigarette smoke. The bathroom door handle broke on our first day with no response from host, and on the second day there was no hot water. The interior is quite rough around the edges.

Free road parking. 20-30 minute walk into York along the riverside and close to the 59 bus which takes you into the City. House was fully equipped with a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom and all the Towels, washing products you would require. As described the house was clean and cosy. Doesn’t have live TV but has access to YouTube, Netflix etc via the SmartTV, although the internet did lose connection quite often. My daughter pointed out that there is no lock on the bathroom door. Overall good value accommodation for York.
