Woodsmill Quay is one of York’s most iconic riverside buildings. A mid 19th century sawmill, situated on the mediaeval quay, it provides fabulous views up and down the river and also over to the stunning York Minster. Situated at the top of the building is this luxury loft conversion. With fabulous references to the original use of the building in side, this lofty apartment even including parts of the outside crane extending through to form part of the roof space, the apartment is a fabulous place to start your adventures.

The open plan living space has a very comfortable seating area from where you can sit and enjoy an evening in catching up or taking in a movie on the smart tv. The dining area has plenty of room for you all to sit down together to enjoy a meal created in the fully fitted kitchen. You immediately feel relaxed and at home in this lovely bright area.

Leading off here you have two very comfortable bedrooms, both with king size beds ready to provide a restful night after what is sure to have been a very busy day out and about in the beautiful City of York. One of the bedrooms has a large en suite fitted with a walk in shower and the other is served by the house bathroom which has a full size bath, perfect for a relaxing soak.

This lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment forms part of Yorks long and varied history and the recent refurbishment has made sure that you can enjoy being part of this in comfort. With the added benefit of a lift and onsite parking for 1 car, you can be sure that your time in York has started in the very best way!

Central, comfortable apartment

Great location and views from windows…it should be noted that the central location by the river came with some evening noise. The apartment is great, well equipped and comfortable. The kitchen was very well kitted. Instructions for entry, departure and appliance use very clear. Parking a real bonus in this part of town. The only negative was that the second bathroom only had a bath, with no shower….not ideal for two couples sharing.

Feb half term stay

Comfortable stay in ideally located apartment. Road works meant we couldn’t use allocated parking but parked at Nunnery Lane public car park and Stays York refunded the parking charges for us.

A no complaint stay….everything just perfect

Wonderful location…..could not have been better…..easy walking distance to all the major attractions…..lovely penthouse overlooking the river with everything catered for. A nice homely feel on arrival with Christmas decorations and tree giving that festive feel good factor. One very small observation, and only an observation, there is a strange smell in the on suite shower room, not sure where it is coming from, but please do not take this as a complaint, merely an observation. Overall, super place to stay….we will be back if you will have us…..Thank you.
