The Space:
The Green is a country stone built property with a kitchen, utility and a living/dining room. Appliances include an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, woodburning stove, TV with Freeview, selection of books and games. The cottage has a double bedroom, a twin room, adult bunks and a family bathroom and cloakroom. Outside there is an enclosed garden with an outside seating area and roadside parking outside the front of the house. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the cost, along with a highchair and travel cot. Within 5.4 miles theres a shop and within 0.1 miles there is a pub. The Green is ideal for families any time of the year. Note: Kitchen has a Rayburn which is not in use. Please note: Window bars are available for the children's room on request. Please take care when using the stairs, they are slightly uneven. This property does not accept check out's on Saturday and Sunday. The property only accepts 7 nights bookings over Christmas, New Year and Easter.
The Neighborhood:
The attractive old market town of Kirkbymoorside lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, in between the towns of Helmsley and Pickering. It is a charming place, full of Yorkshire character, and is the centre for the local farms and villages. Visitors will find a variety of shops from tea rooms, pubs and restaurants to antique shops, while there is a market day on Wednesday. The excellent walking and magnificent scenery of the National Park are close by, as are the picturesque villages of Hutton-le-Hole and Lastingham. Pickering is the base of the North York Moors Steam Railway - a ‘must do’ day out for all visitors to the area. Castle Howard, York, Whitby and the Yorkshire Coast are within easy driving distance.
