Lovely stay . Breakfast was really nice recommend especially the eggs . No tv due to problems with the mast no fault of the hotel. . Dogs no problem will be back vey soon october soon
All the staff were pleasant and helpful
Well situated for the North Yorkshire moors, York and the Yorkshire coast
Great food and beer(check out the happy hour)
A larger than usual room even with an extra bed in
Nice to stay in a place with down to earth staff
Nice hotel and lovely friendly staff. Downside not enough staff in restaurant which wasn’t their fault but resulted in long delay for food. Very good breakfast. Family room didn’t have shower which we knew when we booked but bath was very small. This said I would recommend this hotel as these didn’t detract from our stay
Stayed here at n a number of occasions
always a good stay .
Only thing I would like is a safety rail
for when using the shower, think it should
be made mandatory.
Fit for purpose. Generally an older style property. Initial problem when the shower above leaked. Also expensive for food and accommodation.
As we are elderly there were too many stairs, up and down, to get to our room.
Very impressed with the George and Dragon. Extremely helpful and polite staff, very good customer service. Clean and comfortable accommodation and very good food. Special thanks to Ally, Jane, Dean and the Chef. Will certainly return.
The staff was so incredibly nice! It was a quick stay but next time we’re in the area we will book again. The stay was comfortable and the food was fantastic.
We booked a twin room and were allocated a double (no twin available). The sofa in our room (9) was old and the seat ripped in several places. The paint work chipped and urgently in need of re-decoration. We came back early one hot day and couldn’t shower as there was no hot water (it wasn’t time for the timer to cut in evidently). The staff however tried their best and were very apologetic. At checkout the owner apologized and we were given a 10% discount on our bill. I wouls sooner have paid in full and been happy with the hotel.
We stayed 3nights as a family the hotel and staff were very nice food excellent room very good would recommend people to stay here . We would return to stay here . Manager/staff very helpful

Nice spacious room, though only a bath in ensuite. Hotel was full, so some noise from other rooms and restaurant quite crowded.
I thought the hotel was just out from York, but it was a fair ride by taxi. So worth it! Kirby Moorside is a charming little town with the nicest people in it. Fiona was the best from checking us in and helping with our bags to serving up drinks and general info.
Overnight stay whilst visiting flamingo land. Family room was large, clean bathroom great.
Kids complained TV was too small!
Wi-fi was charged at £1 I hadn’t known this however not a great problem.

Quaint bed and breakfast in a convenient part of town. Was hot, no fan to help with air flow. No chair in room but there was a sofa.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great food and drinks.
Overall impression was reasonable. Hotel is a little tired and could probably do with some refurbishment. Breakfast was good but evening menu pretty ordinary. There didn't appear to be any management supervision and the staff were jacks of all trades. There was no allocation of particular tables to specific staff which seemed to cause delays as one member of staff would wrongly assume another member was dealing with you. No problem with staff themselves though as they were mainly very pleasant and friendly.

Lovely people but facilities a bit tired.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food good. The hotel is well placed and well run, but our room was adversely affected by not being able to turn off the bathroom radiator, I reported this but nothing changed. I also thought the wifi was poor.
