Foodies can head to enjoy the market town of Malton 16.5 miles away, known as “Yorkshire’s Food Capital” and perfect for tasting and buying local artisan produce. Otherwise, take some time to explore two of England’s historic monasteries at Byland Abbey (7 miles) and the extensive ruins and museum at Rievaulx Abbey, 7 and 16 miles respectively.
