"Very well maintained and nice stay. The family running the place is very kind, and provided us welcome tea and cookie upon checking in! The private open air onsen in the room we booked was amazing, at just the right temperature and automatically running and refilling. The location is perfect walking distance and in a central location to many of the public onsens and shops. Highly recommend!!"

"Everything about our short stay was lovely. The town was very quiet while we were there - our stay was primarily to visit the castle ruins (which we recommend!). Very charming town. The inn was very relaxing and we enjoyed the on-site onsen, and the excellent Japanese breakfast. The room was WONDERFUL. We loved the traditional architecture-with modern amenities-and the room was clean and had very comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was modern and the complimentary drinks in the mini-bar area...

I spent four nights here and I wish I could stay for longer. While it’s a bit expensive, it is worth every yen. The staff was so helpful and made sure every second I spent there was incredible. "Rooms are a bit dated but super clean and well maintained. Staff was awesome, and the breakfast was one of the best I've had at any hotel in Japan. Location is fairly remote, but extremely peaceful, and there are free shuttle busses into Toyooka. Onsen was pretty good and clean. If you are looking for a relaxed time away from the typical tourist bustle, I can highly recommend this hotel. Most guests were elderly and extremely friendly, and it was completely silent at night."
