"The house is very charming and comfortable. My sisters and I stayed for our annual sisters' weekend. We could not have been happier. Very quiet, such a nice change from all the noise of a city. The owner is super nice and very easy to work with. Highly recommend this property if you are looking for a peaceful, quite weekend. We will definitely rent this wonderful home again."

"We had a very quiet and relaxing stay at the Byrd’s Nest. The apartment was lovely and very spacious. We walked in and saw an anniversary cake awaiting us. What a thoughtful surprise! We also enjoyed a delicious jar of honey. The hospitality extended to us by Marty and James went above and beyond. Would definitely stay here again!"

"This was actually our second time staying here. It’s such an amazing place to stay and the hosts are so kind and helpful. There are so many animals you have access to for the kiddos and adults who also like holding baby goats in the spring. The property and house are beautiful and well maintained. I highly recommend this place, especially for families."

"Group of us doing the local Texas River Marathon canoe race. This place is located in the middle of where we wanted to paddle. Four bedrooms with 1 bath took a little shuffling with 7 folks getting ready in the morning. Daughter works with horses at a boarding ranch at home. So she was a happy girl here. Nice and quite with plenty of room."

"This little cabin is absolutely perfect for people trying to get away for the weekend. The beds were the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in while staying at an rental for that matter. The owner was very friendly and even mowed the grass before we got there. Beautiful views of the pastures and cattle right outside the windows. Everything was spotless and very cute for a country side cabin. Would 10/10 recommend and stay again"

"We loved this home away from home, I am from the area, and came home to visit, hoping this home is available everytime I come back in the future.. The bed was soooo comfy, the home was very lovely and such a victorian antique feel, with modern touches... I was very pleased to find a vacation rental in the area...I only wish I could of stayed longer..."

"The room (to sleep for 1 night) appeared nice, but when we walked in it was extremely cold, the tile felt as if it had recently been mopped. We turned the thermostat up, and left to run errands. When we returned much later the temperature was not much different, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. Furthermore, the Checkout form placed under the entrance door in the morning felt DAMP so it probably behooves you to check this out."
