"Property location is great - right on the lake. Staff was friendly. The issue is the whole property needs to be renovated. The landscape was poorly maintained, our bathroom had a plunger wrapped in a plastic bag, curtains had missing hooks, tables were worn…"
"The views are fantastic! The onsite restaurant is very good and you can't beat eating overlooking the falls. The rooms are cozy but well appointed and very clean. The staff went above and beyond, even pointing us to use several hotel activities after we had checked out. Highly recommended."

"We always go to the Poconos in the summer! We love Fairview Lake and the surrounding area. House is beautiful, well maintained, super clean, and in a perfect location. 10/10 recommmend!"
"Great house just steps away from Fairview Lake. Very relaxing week of fishing and boating. House has a well stocked kitchen, dish ware, pots, everything needed to cook big dinners. Beautiful surroundings full of deer, chipmunks, beaver ect., very tranquil. "
"A little slice of heaven, next door to the Promised Land.
We were in the area to visit Pa. State Parks and stayed here two nights. My wife found Rex Hotel online and she really relies on the reviews of past guests. With this receiving so many positive ratings we went for it. The no contact check-in and out was new for us, but no issues arose at all. In fact, everything went so smoothly it would be nice if others used this method. As far as Rex calling this a hotel, it is more of a motel, but on a luxury scale. I felt like we were staying in an upscale country resort. Our room was #5 and upon arrival, everything was very clean. Even though we never met the owners or anyone for that matter on site, we never felt isolated. We would receive text messages occasionally reminding us it was time to start a fire in our very own outdoor fire ring, using the free fire wood, matches and starter. I have stayed in some pretty fancy hotels all over the country, but the temperature control in this room is the best. We were able to keep the room at the perfect temperature without having to constantly change it. I don't know if I'll get back to this part of Pa. again, but if I do we will be staying here at The Rex Hotel. "

"We rented this property for our annual holiday get together. Having two houses for such a big group was fantastic! The owners made the booking and the check-in process very easy. They were always very responsive and accommodating. I've rented a number of properties and their process was the most streamlined and efficient. They provided ample information about the property and the surrounding area. There were 6 families and there was ample space for everyone. The kids took advantage of the game room in the basement as well as the spacious grounds. Even though there was snow on the ground, they still made use of the playground. With such a large group, having two kitchens was so helpful! The two houses are just a short walk from each other so it wasn't a hassle at all. The houses were both clean and well stocked. We definitely want to come back during warmer weather!"
"Exactly as listed. Great space for a group of 8 women to relax, hike, and craft. Bonus Northern Lights viewing over the lake! Erin was very responsive to any questions about details of the property.
