"This was such a wonderful place. The house is in a large neighborhood but is located in the best area for beach access. You aren’t oceanfront but can hear the ocean at night, there are no houses between you and the water. The house is a great floor plan, open and spacious, clean and comfortable. The houses are close together but you can’t hear anything from the other houses. The pool is super nice and the whole area very laid-back. Plenty of good food nearby. Lots of great little shops too. If you’re looking for a lot of activities, plan to trek to PCB (45 min or so) but if you’re looking for a very nice place to relax and some good beach time, this is a great vacation rental!"

"•No towels in the room upon checking in- after calling, they delivered them in a plastic bag hanging on the door, as I was out for dinner. •I found two dried up pieces of jalapeño on the carpet. •coffee pods only- no tea bags… •The shower was cold and the shower fixtures difficult to work, as to whether you were turning it to hot or cold, rain shower head just dribbled water- a very chilly shower, not very pleasant. • The tv volume was locked at a very low volume. • The decor was pleasant , the location central to the shops and restaurants, easily walkable , the a/c worked very well, and the bed was comfortable with nice pillows. •The price was a little high for what you get, but I might try it again another time • Appalachicola is a wonderful little town with great history, and friendly locals. Better to stay here than St. George Island."

"There were two families, eight adults, on our stay. The house had a lot of space for everyone. We never ran out of hot water, which was a great bonus. The kitchen is the best stocked one we have had in a rental. We would definitely stay again."
Seaside Retreat - resort setting with beach and pool access

"We didn't realize this "apartment" was actually part of a family home, so that was odd for us. However, the space fit us 2 just fine, the bed was comfortable, and the surrounding area was lovely. When you're out of the neighborhood (which is a bunch of single family homes, not very "resort" like), you can enjoy the pool and direct access to the beach. We had a lot of gear to wash after beach adventures and this property had a hose, outdoor shower, and plenty of space to dry all of our stuff. The host was great and helpful. If you're looking for a very reasonably priced place to stay that checks the essentials boxes this will work for you."
