We had a wonderful stay at the Riu Times Square! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Our room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for our trip to NYC. The breakfast experience deserves special recognition. It was exceptionally well organized from start to finish. The check-in process, moving through the line downstairs, being escorted upstairs, seated promptly, the buffet selection, and the quick clearing and resetting of tables all ran seamlessly. Even with the number of guests, everything was efficient and stress-free. What truly made our stay memorable were the thoughtful personal touches. Without us requesting anything, the breakfast staff surprised me by singing Happy Birthday, which was such a special moment. Later that day, the hotel also sent chocolates to our room with birthday wishes. These unexpected gestures made me feel genuinely celebrated and showed that the team goes above and beyond to create a memorable guest experience. Thank you to everyone at the Riu Times Square for making my birthday trip so special. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York City!

The staff had great attitudes and were welcoming and informative.

I will start with the pros of booking at this hotel. Ambience was amazing when you walk into the hotel. The aromatics are sensual and creates a relaxing feeling. The location is nothing more short of great. The subway, Central Park and all stores are within walking distance. I suggest you take the walk. If you choose to stay here try Jams restaurant 5 stars. Now the cons… at the front desk I asked about the EV chargers to which I was told to refer my questions to valet. Ok valet informed me that the EV Chargers has been out of order for some time. Disappointing because as I expected a way to charge. Ok whatever. Now the room…it is like the size of a dorm room. The view that is pictured is a facade. My room was on the 4th floor and the view was the HVAC system for the next building with debris. On Saturday the room was FREEZING and guess what the a/c thermostat read “offline”. This was definitely not what I expected for the price I paid.

Amazing hotel, staff make the whole experience, bar is great. Reception and concierge team are excellent, in particular Lauren who made check in a breeze. Gym and pool are excellent for a New York hotel.

From the moment we arrived at The Plaza we felt genuinely welcomed. Erika warmly greeted us at check-in and recognized that we were celebrating my daughter’s graduation and birthday with a special mother-daughter trip to New York. She made my daughter feel truly celebrated. She also surprised us with a beautiful room upgrade, a thoughtful handwritten note, and a delicious chocolate dessert waiting in our room. It was such an unexpected gesture that made our arrival even more special. Every staff member we met was friendly and welcoming. From the warm greeting we received from Juan as we stepped out of the car to the exceptional hospitality we experienced throughout our stay, every interaction made us feel genuinely cared for. The hotel is elegant and inviting. Our room was beautifully decorated, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. We enjoyed dining in the Palm Court, where both the food and service were exceptional. After a day exploring Manhattan, it was such a pleasure to return to our room, enjoy room service, and relax. The Plaza exceeded our expectations and truly lives up to its reputation for timeless elegance and exceptional hospitality. Thank you to Erika and the entire Plaza team for making our mother-daughter celebration so memorable. We will always remember the kindness we experienced and are already looking forward to our next visit.
