This was just what we needed! Cute cottage in a perfect location. Nice dock. Easy paddle access to both Wentworth and Crescent lakes, and walking to town on the rail trail.
great property accommodations for the whole family, walk out to the water right from the backyard with convenient grill and outdoor dining set up, kayaks and paddle boards definitely got some miles put on them, excellent stay and very responsive host
Everything was just the way it’s described. Great location. Clean and good communication with owner. Thank you so much for a lovely stay in a beautiful location.
Grandmas cottage was just as described and really felt like visiting with grandma. The location was superb with an easy access to the trail into town. The views of the water from the porch were astounding. Overall a great stay and will definitely try to be back during the warmer months.
Great location! Perfect for water-sports and proximity to town. Had just about everything we needed. Cottage could use a drainboard and sharper knives and a few more cooking utensils. Otherwise, it was as advertised.
We really loved our time at Grandma's Cottage. Everything was just as advertised and Wendy Rae responded promptly to any questions we had. The location on the Smith River was perfect for exploring both Crescent Lake and Lake Wentworth in our small powerboat which we were able to tie up at the property's dock. It was also fun to just sit on the nice wide dock and watch whatever happened to float by...kayakers, paddleboarders, slow-moving motor boats, etc. Lake Wentworth is big and beautiful! If the weather hadn't cooperated there were plenty of games and puzzles to keep us entertained. We would definitely stay here again.
Last minute trip to a new area for us and found Grandma's cabin on VRBO and so glad we did. The place was on the river between two lakes and had all the comforts of home. The cabin is small but immaculate and really all we needed for a friends getaway. We came with our clothes and pretty much everything else was provided. The front stairs and dock are fairly new and so sturdy. The back deck was perfect for morning coffee looking over the river but was a bit shaky so hopefully that's the next project. The hill to go down to the dock was fairly steep and since I have a bad knee just used the front stairs to go to the dock so it wasn't an issue. We didn't get to use the provided kayak or paddleboard since it was such a short trip and poured one of the days but would definitely come back. The proximity to the rail trail was awesome and we enjoyed walking around downtown Wolfeboro and visiting the local restaurants and coffee locations. I have stayed in many VRBO locations and have to say how clean this cabin was. For a place that accepts dogs, you would never know it. Hopefully next time we can bring our dog and she too can enjoy this home away from home!
Awesome location right on the water and the rail trail yet close to town; we enjoyed the use of the kayaks, and our child loved fishing right off the dock. House was clean and had everything we needed. Owner was very responsive to questions. Easy check-in and check-out. Definitely a place to come back to!
Perfect! My daughter and I fished, swam, used the kayaks, walked into town and binged on our favorite new netflix series.
Check in and out was easy. We will be back.
Thank you so much!
It was the husband, myself, four kids and our dog. Everyone had a wonderful time. The cabin is exactly as described “grandma’s cabin”
But everything is neat and quaint but up to date. Some of the regular stuff I bring as usual was not even needed. The area is quite and although a traffic area for some boats going to the larger lake. Everyone is friendly and respectful of the limits and other people enjoying the lake. The kids really enjoyed paddle boarding and the kayaks. We will definitely planning a return trip. 🙂
