"Disappointed that the leasure center and pool were undergoing renovation and we had not been informed of this at the booking stage. We should have been informed by the hotel or Expedia. What compensation will there be for this disappoint."

"Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Comfortable rooms with good ensuite facilities at a great price. Restaurant has excellent dishes at good prices and the bar serves a good range of drinks again at good prices. A Continental Breakfast is included and there is no cooked breakfast option. The only drawback is the lack of a lift and one or two floors are a bit unveven but to be expected at over 400 years old. "

(I'm a foodie so always feel disappointed in the sparse cooking equipment in all holiday cottages - I always want to say "lose the TV and the Netflix - just give me a salad spinner, a stick blender and a truly sharp knife" ), good atmosphere, we really enjoyed it ."
