Discover your retreat - 3-bedroom cottage in Winthrop

Loon Cottage is located on beautiful Cobbosseecontee Lake in Winthrop, Maine. Loon Cottage has a Smart TV, Wi-Fi, full kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer. We have an outdoor gas grill, fire pit for roasting marshmallows, picnic table and Adirondack Chairs. Cobbosseecontee is one of central Maine's largest body of water. Cobbossee is noted for its excellent bass fishing, ranked #52 in 2014 by Bassmaster Magazine. The lake has a lighthouse, many small islands and coves, take advantage of our canoe to explore. Our guests can access the Monmouth Boat Launch located a few miles from our house or utilize our boat launch. Our waterfront features a dock, perfect for fishing. Enjoy the echoes of the loons and eagles on the lake!

**Summer month require a Saturday to Saturday booking!

Great cabin and host

Brought my son fishing for the weekend ! Property was great- right on the lake and was perfect for a weekend away. Very clean and had everything we needed! We will be staying here again for sure

Second time at this location, this time to ice fish. Amazing location... cant get any closer to the lake!! All amenities are great, furniture super comfy. To incude the bed and pillows!! Will be back again this summer!!

Lakeside living

This really is a fantastic place to go sit by the lake and relax. We also enjoyed the canoe, the fire pit, and the local pub and restaurant. We rented for five nights and we’re very happy.

Winter Getaway - Ice Fish/Snowmobile

Nice location, right on the water, boat ramp was super convenient as a snowmobile ramp onto the ice. Kara was easy to reach the 2x I needed info. Overall a very nice stay.

Greatvstay

Used the place for our fishing hub. Place was great, perfect for our needs. Cobbsee is an elite bass fishery and this place is perfect with a doc center lake.

We loved our stay at the lake. Sitting on the dock watching the boats and wildlife was perfect. The house had everything we needed. It's a short drive to the grocery store and Winthrop is the cutest town to visit. Our first time to Maine and it did not disappoint.

Lake life on Cobossee

Nice getaway

Stayed for a week of fishing and wasn’t disappointed. House was as advertised with a Great view of the lake from the living room. Plenty of parking and a nice turn around with the trailer. Definitely would rent again!

Nice location, peaceful place

We spent a week at this beautiful home and had a wonderful time. We took our bass boat and were able to launch it right on the property and tie it which was really convenient! We went fishing off and on all week on this beautiful lake. There were loons everywhere! Their calls are just entrancing.

Great Lake House

Fall golf trip. Located conveniently close to several great courses. House was in great shape and very clean. Check in and out was super easy. Spacious for 4 adults. Able to do some fishing off the dock and swimming in the lake. Would definitely stay again! Highly recommend.

Third trip to this rental. Home was clean and spot is fantastic. 2 concerns would be the amount of flies that were in the house when we arrived and the sulfur smell when we used the water. WWe did ffrom the water disappated

Christmas 2 day stay

The house was perfect for us. We brought elderly parents with us which was very easy for them to access. The view was great. The directions were easy to follow. We were visiting our son and his family which they were only a 20 minute ride away in Augusta. Any questions we had were answered quickly. Thank you for letting us enjoy your place.

Cabin On the lake

This cabin is located on a beautiful lot on the lake with fantastic views. It’s an older house that has not been remodeled but is still very nice. There were a few small things I wish had been different—the cooking pots/pans definitely needed replacing, needed a lamp in the bedroom, and there was no hair dryer. But we had a wonderful time!

Wonderful spot, clean, quintessential Maine lakeside camp

We have stayed on this lake many times and this was our first stay at this property. We absolutely loved it. The yard is huge and flat. Which made it wonderful for yard games and being comfortable outside. The dock was large enough to tie up our boat and for friends to come visit that were also staying at the lake. The camp had all the amenities so we basically only needed to bring our food, clothes, and games. We caught huge bass right off the dock. The dock area has no vegetation in the water, you could see bottom and it was a great spot for swimming. It was in the high 80s/low 90s all week and the AC in the camp kept it comfortable. The property owner was responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful vacation!
