"If you’re looking for a cosy, peaceful place with history, character and a warm atmosphere, 189 April Cottage is truly something special. When I first arrived, I was a little unsure because the road was quite narrow. Also, I would recommend searching “189 April Cottage” directly on Google Maps, as the first location that came up for me was somewhere else. But the moment I stepped inside this beautiful historic cottage, I realised how unique and special it was. The quietness, the history of the...
"This is a great friendly hotel that majors in service and friendliest approach. Nothing is to much trouble always with a smile"
"We had a fantastic stay here in one of the new deluxe rooms. The room was incredibly comfortable, very well furnished and spotlessly clean with a large bathroom. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection of hot dishes (special praise for the eggs benedict) alongside fruit juices, pastries, yogurt etc. We also had an evening meal in the pub which was again very nice. The pub is conveniently located a few minutes from the Bath park and ride. We'd...
"Good place"
"A wonderful place to stay. A fantastic old building with so much character and lovely country views. Bedrooms very comfortable with great attention to detail and well thought through. Excellent breakfast and a good menu for dinner - well presented and very tasty. The highlight though were the staff throughout. It's such a pleasure to receive genuine excellent customer service from start to finish. Thank you."

The restaurant is something that should be avoided at all costs unless you like eating uninspiring, bland overpriced food (£60 for 2 people and I would have expected something that looked and tasted like some heart had gone into it). Best option was the pub at the end of the drive or a takeaway!! Breakfast was free - that was nice because I would not have paid for it! We...
