Only 5 minutes away from Bowness Bay on the shores of Lake Windermere, a handy central base for touring the lakes and fells. Shops, pubs and restaurants only 200 yards away.

The top floor apartment is part of a two-storey town house comprising of two separate apartments, Belle View (ref 16645) on the upper part of the building including the balcony and Bownessy’s Retreat (ref 26989) all on the ground floor. Both are conveniently located just a two-minute walk from the heart of the bustling Lakeland town of Bowness and a short stroll from the lakeshore.

Great base for exploring that part of the lakes

The apartment was very clean, well equipped and has one of the best showers we’ve experienced in a holiday rental. It is just a two minute walk to the centre of the night life but you hear no noise in the apartment. There is a large choice of places to eat out within a few minutes walk. It is well situated to explore that area of the Lake District and if you want to take a boat trip on Lake Windermere, the pier is less than 10 minutes walk away. The only thing we felt let the place down was its lack of a recycling bin.

overall the property is spacious, clean and has everything we need except no wi-fi which is unusual for nowadays quite inconvenient. There were reviews about the smell inside the property but we not experience it at all. one negative comment is the wall is very thin, you can hear both sides neighbors ' especially no 12 who like to play loud music in the morning and between 6pm -9/10pm ish very ignoring on top of shouting & kids plays noises sitting in the living room. A really good base.

Everything went well. The apartment is just a 5 minute stroll from the centre of Bowness, very spacious, has its own parking spot, everything worked as expected and we’d recommend it to anyone. The only thing lacking is an internet connection which I understand will be added over the next few months.

Lovely Lake District property

This place was perfect for us and in an excellent location, convenient for everything we wanted to do. The property has modern fixtures like a good shower and a washer with a dryer function (that actually does work - these don't always). The beds were comfortable and we liked having a balcony. Would love to come back and stay here for longer!!

Perfect short stay for Great North Swim

Perfect short stay for the Great North Swim, very close to the lake and the boat to Brockhole. Also very close to restaurants, shops and lakeside walks. Well appointed property with everything we'r need for a long weekend.

We chose this accommodation for its location which is fabulous-an easy 5 minute stroll in to the centre of Bowness and an added bonus of parking. The accommodation is very comfortable and spacious, and warm when the weather was poor as it was in our case. The only negative comment I would make is the accommodation looks a bit dated. When we arrived it smelt musty and damp-not sure if it had been empty for a while as it was winter.It could do with a coat of paint, especially in the bathroom. Otherwise the bedrooms were a great size, comfy beds, and the living area was very spacious too with a good sized tv. Overall it was easy to find, fab location and good value for money.
