From: Cypress Creek Oasis I apologize greatly for your misunderstanding as to the amenities and layout of our place. It took me a while, as no where on my VRBO by owner page does it show 2 bedrooms. I did finally find my place on the regular VRBO site, kinda hard to find and then I saw where it says 2 bedrooms, but when you look at the rental layout and the photos it shows no separate bedrooms. We also send a welcome letter with lots of details and layout the amenities and floor plan. I apologize that VRBO had that on there and that you did not look at the property close enough to see it was a mistake. I had to call VRBO to even figure out how to get it changed. I recommend you ask questions if it says 2 bedrooms and you do not see any photos or mention of 2 bedrooms in the writeup of the rental. We love our repeat family renters, they love our place for what it is: a beautiful glamping spot on cypress creek that is an amazing spot for small families with kids. Your own simi private blue hole all day every day during your stay. I recommend you pay a little better attention to the details next time, but thank you for pointing out the mistake by VRBO and they have now corrected it. We built Paul's barn as a place for our own guest. We only rent it when we are not going to be around, so when you stay with us, you usually have the creek and open spaces on our side of the creek all to yourself. We are a small family of 3 of had plans to be gone Fri-Sun during your stay. So sorry you did not even try to stay and enjoy the little slice of heaven that we have on cypress creek 1 mile from downtown Wimberley. Just so you know you have been the first guest to have no pre-stay communication (I had to reach out 3 times before I got even an acknowledgment that you were still coming). I thought it was weird and was already worried about your stay - I was right, you need to ask questions and understand the full magnitude of where you rented and the amenities and unit layout. Audra, I am just so glad that this is all over. I guess it is going to happen to have 1 unhappy camper, however I truly believe it could have been avoided by cooperative friendly problem solving. I am really sorry that the microwave blew up and the electricity in the one room went out at 9:30 at night, I wish I could have kept that from happening, but it happened and most people would work cooperatively with someone to make the best of a situation. I spoke to VRBO and they said that my promptly getting you 2 extra fans, offering to heat your dinner for you, having you a microwave first thing the next morning and having the outage fixed by 9:30 am was more than accommodating. After VRBO reviewed all your text messages, they apologized to me for you. I have never been verbally abused liked that before. I am so sorry that you rented a semi private place, and were offended that 6 extra guest (friends of ours) were down at the waterfront for 45 minutes your entire 3 days. If your daughter cannot be around people, then you should make sure it is a fully private place. It sure seemed that your kids had a great time when you were not making the unfortunate situation worse. Good luck in your next VRBO rental. Just so you know it is not a policy that a VRBO owner is required to have a 24 hr electrician on call and that any owner is required to go buy a microwave at 9:30 at night. So sorry I went to bed at midnight. I could not go to sleep with the party your kids were having at the creek (even though it says quiet hours are at 10 pm). Also note that you had 6 people and even 7 the last night and our place is for 5 or less. Good luck with your next rental, Wendy

I am so sorry that I did not get to meet y’all, especially since you had an 11 year old and my son is 12 and probably would’ve had a great time showing your boys the ropes. We would love to have you back, just call me and let me know when you’re interested in coming again.
