Marywood Cottage: Luxury Lake House Living, Kayaks and Paddle Boat Included
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at Marywood Cottage for a long weekend. The listing description and photos for this house are completely accurate. It is nicely furnished, well-appointed, exceptionally clean, well stocked in the kitchen and baths, spacious, with comfortable updated beds, and has beautiful views of Lake Mecosta from sunrise to sunset. During our stay we especially enjoyed taking the paddle boat out on the lake, relaxing in the hot tub, and sitting around the fire at night. The gift basket with everything needed to make s’mores was a very nice touch. We also enjoyed dining at Antler’s restaurant (in town) and hiking the trails at Clay Cliffs and Deerfield Nature Park. The Fall colors were just beautiful. Communication was excellent and prompt by the owner (Ryan), which we highly value in a rental stay. Overall, we had a great experience, would definitely return for a future stay and highly recommend. "
"Host is awesome! Sweet little place. Perfect for one. Could be very cozy for two, if those two like being close. Property overlooks the Muskegon. Beauitiful property. "
Modern, Hidden Gem Tiny House, Wood-Fired Hot Tub & Outdoor Screened-In Kitchen
10/10 Excellent
"We had an awesome time at this property. The kitchen was well set up and provided good protection from rain. The double bed mattress is comfy memory foam. Not a lot of space in the bedroom for bags/extras so pack light! We struggled to find firewood so bring your own or go to The Dairy Doo or Gib’s locally. The property is fun to wander but doesn’t really have actual trails. We used the grill, coffee maker, hot plate, and fridge and it was perfect to make simple meals. We recommend for a glamping experience!! "
"This house was great for our girls weekend! A lot of bunk beds, but we did our best to make it work. Some of our group are older women and it was not safe for them to adventure to a top metal bunk bed, but we were aware of that when we booked. Not a negative, just something to consider. The lake is very "mushy" and not really swim worthy, but a nice view! The indoor pool is AMAZING! The host is wonderful, very responsive and understanding. Tip: Ask for the FULL list of house rules prior to booking to ensure all the rules fit your group needs. Would stay again, but unfortunately the price has almost doubled since we booked last year. Would be perfect for families with kids!!! "
