Galley Bay Resort & Spa - All inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"Food and service were outstanding, 5 star. We liked that the menus changed daily, particularly for dinner. Didn’t come across a single staff member that was not friendly, they genuinely seemed to care that we were happy and everyone was more than happy to talk with us. Bartenders made great drinks, not watered down and it was top shelf. We were there October 21-27, beach was pretty much empty. Property is very well kept. The beach is not like a lake, it does have waves, which we liked. Gym was nice, had what we needed. If I had any suggestions to make, enforce dress code at night (pants and shoes are required for men, but many wore shorts and flip flops to dinner) and the rooms could use a little updating (e.g., no bathroom exhaust fan), but they definitely were perfectly fine. These are very minor things. Thanks to all the staff for making it such a great vacation. We will be back next year, if not sooner!"

"Staff were super friendly and very helpful. Our room was lovely and having your own plunge pool was an amazing experience and great to cool off after a hot day. Very tranquil and beautiful. Only complaint was the food was just ok. The bbq night was really delicious. Felt we overpaid for the floating tapas to our room as well. Was very disappointed in that. Our server Maxine was awesome and went over an above."

"The property seems dated but its well maintained. The staff is AMAZING. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL. There is a good variety of food....you won't go hungry no matter what time it is. It's a very large property but there's cart transportation thats always available. What can be improved? (1) There is no ATM on the property, we had to venture out to find one....scary (2) its an all-inclusive resort but you have to pay to have your in-room fridge stocked...why? (3) booking our scuba dive was cumbersome...they don't offer assistance at the resort and all of the diving is on the other side of the island...approx $100 in taxi fees. Still it was a wonderful vacation and we would visit again."

It feels secluded without ever being inconvenient—groceries and several excellent beaches are a short drive away, and the roads are easy once you get your bearings.The house itself is clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully designed. The indoor-outdoor flow works exactly as promised—doors open, air moves through, and you end up living on the terrace more than anywhere else. The kitchen is fully equipped (not the usual stripped-down rental version), which mattered since we cooked most nights. Bedrooms were comfortable and restful.A few practical notes: you’ll want a rental car—this isn’t a walkable location. Bring bug spray for the evenings (standard for Antigua). Wi-Fi was reliable for everyday use.Communication with the host and property manager was smooth and responsive throughout. Marilyn, the housekeeper, was a treasure—warm, attentive, and an essential part of what made the stay feel so easy.What stayed with us most was the rhythm of the place. Mornings arrive wide and bright over the water; evenings stretch out and soften. You settle into it quickly—coffee outside, long afternoons, dinner with the sound of the bay carrying through.We’d go back without hesitation."
