"Me and my two children only stayed 1 night, while in the area for a boat cruise. The kids went in the pool and said it was chilly (outdoor). The rooms appeared to be recently updated and nicely done. We had adjoining rooms, and the interior access was nice. The complimentary breakfast is a nice feature, but there were so many guests in the food area that it was not possible to get something without a long wait."

"The Donald Gordon Hotel in Kingston was fantastic. Housed in a beautiful historic building that was originally a private residence, it has operated as a hotel since, I believe, the 1980s. While the rooms are traditional hotel rooms, they are exceptionally well appointed, and the beds are very comfortable. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was outstanding, with a great selection and excellent quality. The grounds are picturesque and give you the feeling of staying on a stunning historic limestone university campus. For anyone visiting students at Queen's University, I would highly recommend the Donald Gordon Hotel. It's conveniently located right on campus, and the complimentary parking is an added bonus. All around, it was an excellent stay."

"We were in room 614. 2 bedroom suite with kitchenette and 2 bathrooms. There were 6 of us so 2 people sleeping on the pullout couch. Our only complaint was that couch. It needs replacing, very worn out. Location was great! Within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and right on the water. Would definitely return here."

"Efficient, friendly and welcoming staff at front desk. Lovely rooms, very spacious with nice linens. Air Conditioner works great although a bit loud. Breakfast Bento boxes were a wonderful treat in the morning. Perfect location for sightseeing, eating and drinking. Will definitely return. Handy parking, whether within the hotel or nearby."
