It was old,run down and looked nothing like the picture! The sign out front was faded and barely readable! The parking lot had junked car's and trucks in the rear of the Motel! Carpet old and stained! Leakey faucet,No cable! Don't recommend this place to anyone else ever!

The property looks abandoned! There were people hanging around one side, they appeared homeless! There were cars that looked non-serviceable and broken down furniture in the parking lot/ drive. The other side of the building the parking lot appears not to had been in use for some time. Curtains were coming down, door frames partially putt off the wall. The pool was blackish green with lawn furniture in it. The lobby was locked and no lights on (at 5 PM). The place looked dangerous! We could not book in and would not have had they been open.

This place is an absolute dump. No toilet paper. No towels. The pool isn’t even set up for Memorial Day. The room is so out dated and it smelled like cigarettes so badly. I would never stay here again.

I did not like anything about this run down dump! No WIFI, No Ice Machine and no service staff that I ever saw! It's filthy! The pictures shown are from years ago when it may have been in good shape. There are kids playing in the parking lot and their toys all over the parking lot! The only staff seems to be part time person who is sometimes in the lobby. After seeing the Filthy room they had for me I asked for a refund, but could not get one! ***** STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP! *****

This place should be condemned!
We booked this place in October when we were heading to Busch Gardens because our normal hotel was full. This place was disgusting! The door didn't lock and pushed open when we went to put the key in, the curtains didn't close. The smell was nauseating. There was mold and food present everywhere. When we turned on the lights, the cockroaches scattered! My daughter's room was even worse! Her door was wide open when we got to it, and it looked like someone had been in there. The guy at the desk was very friendly. Needless to say we didn't stay there and showered immediately after finding a new hotel! Two weeks later, they charged my card for both rooms for both nights! When I contacted them they said they had a no refund policy even though when I checked out and said we weren't paying for the rooms, and showed him my daughter's and my pictures, the guy at the desk said he completely understood! This place is a total scam! STAY AWAY!!!! I wish I was exaggerating any off this!!! *ps. my daughter's pictures were worse!!!

We liked that we had a locked room, with a bed and bath near the highway to lay our heads. We didn’t like how disheveled the building was, how unclean and dirty the facilities and room looked. There was a broken glass door and a broken branches in the check in area. This just added to the crewpy vibes of the facility. It smelt like smoke and looked like a very sad sad sight.

Disgusting, filthy, nasty and run down
NOTHING close to what is pictured here. The pool looked like sewer water, parking lot had so many cracks with weeds sprouting through that if it wasn't for the crackheaded looking chick loitering on the end and the handful of riff raff roaming around on the back side, you would have thought it to be abandoned and surprised to not have contracted Hepatitis just driving around th building with the windows down, someone might need to invent full body condoms because that's how disgusting, filthy, run down it was and just being 100% honest. There is a big difference between dirty/lived in and plumb insanely FILTHY/NASTY, don't mind getting dirty one bit but I can't handle filthy/nasty. WISHED I had gotten photos, it ok though because I have to make that trip frequently to visit my son in a medical facility in Newport News so bet on at least one photo soon. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if it were barely passing the grade for condemnation, would call health department or protective services for animals staying there for Christ sake....nope not us, we will take a tent and chance it camping in the backwoods wilderness but not THAT.

Everything about this place was awful. We had to leave after the first night and book a stay at a different hotel. We had trouble checking in because no one would answer the phone and the lobby was locked. Our non-smoking reeked of cigarette smoke and mildew, cause breathing trouble. Multiple roaches. Floor was stained and sticky. Dirty bed linens. There were people loitering outside at all hours, which made us feel unsafe, not to mention that they were loud.

Pulled in the parking lot first thing you see is a car on blocks with no tire on it. Second someone smashed in one of the windows in office. I could have live with that but the room was not clean. The linens where dirty, discolored, had white stuff all over the bed. The room smelled of urine.

Staff not too bad...., is the only the thing I can say. I got two rooms for one night and I’m glad it was only one night. If I didn’t have to stay the one night I wouldn’t have. Ants, roaches, headboard falls off without even touching it, stains on carpets and walls, shower head messed up, toilet barely flushed, parking needs to be paved or marked for bad patches, the locks on the doors are horrible and not very secure, that’s just what I can think of off the top of my head. I feel bad dogging someone’s business however they desire this review and much worst....

Train ran e ery hour on the hour less than 500 ft from hotel. It was awful

Awful Condition
Upon review of the room, I cancelled my reservation. Dirty caulking around toilet, very outdated facilities, hasn't been painted in a very long time. The room was in such awful condition, I couldn't imagine what I would find if I pulled the sheets down. No smoking sign in lobby yet the lobby reeked with the smell of smoke.

Hotel 50 Yards from Busy Railroad Crossing
This hotel is in rapid decline. While the countertops, furniture and bathrooms were decently clean, the carpet was badly stained and had a cigarette butt. I found a courtesy ice bucket with plastic bag on the counter, but after searching the entire motel for an ice machine I found out it was just part of the room decor. I found at least 3 of the rooms in various locations entirely boarded up. This motel is literally on the other side of the tracks and with a road crossing right in front of the motel, the train MUST blow the whistle as it approaches every few hours. General maintenance of the property is a low priority with weeds growing in every crack, many potholes in the parking lot and a shattered glass door in the check-in lobby.

Depressing not at all like the pictures.
The property was rundown the door was locked and required us to do a lot of knocking before he answered. It was extremely unsightly and seemed unkept there appears to be people who actually reside on the property. I ended up leaving and not even staying the night.

As for the Amtrac, that has been with us for quite some time now and very few guests have complained about it. Actually several nearby hotels are located in the same proximity to the tracks. We believe the convenient location of our motel offsets any noise issue. We truly appreciate your business and are very sorry you had a bad experience.

The roach motel
This hotel needs to be closed permanantly. There were roaches roaming the room freely. No maid service. I was in a supposed non smoking room it smelled just like cigarettes, there were several burn holes in the carpet. The tv was so old it had a vhs player on it, the remote only controlled the channel. I had to program it to turn the TV off and on and the volume. There was no phone in the room so I wouldn't have been able to call the office if needed. Upin arriving I was told that the wifi was not working and had been out for 2 days and they were trying to get it fixed. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here it is truly a dump

It took 30 min for them to let in lobby staff rude and cussed us they put us in a dirty room with broken windows and then went back to lobby and couldn’t get any one to answer the door bell we then called the phone and man was hateful and that’s when he cussed us and told us he didn’t care about my Fu***** family wouldn’t give us a refund! Avoid this place at all costs! Very shady place!! Go to motel 6 for same price

I made a reservation to stay here and i came in and they had no record of my name! Clerk was rude and uncooperative! The place was dumpy,cracked windows,broken drive way,metal hanging off roof.Clerk was trying to scam me after i paid for reservation and try to charge me more for a room.I already paid,and can hopefully not have been charged after i called in to cancel it after talking to a representative at Expedia!

Terrible motel I ever stay. DO NOT RESERVE!!!
I reserved for 2 nights because of cheap price and pictures on the web seemed not bad. But lobby was very smelly and a staff at the lobby grabbed a cigarette. I never had experience that public lobby is smoking area in the hotel, but i tried to understand it because the hotel room is only $25 per day. She introduce the room for me is very nice and new. But the room.... OMG, I felt that the room was very unsafe to stay and very very dirty. Spider webs were everywhere, and someone's hairs on the bed, towels had dirty stains. I asked refund because the room was totally not acceptable condition for everyone. The staff said they can't refund in any way. So I decided to move another hotel. I booked another motel with $50. The new motel is not that fancy, but so much better then this motel. I just throw away my $50 but kept my safety. Lastly, train station is right next to the motel, and the train runs every hour.

You get what you pay for
This is not the Four Seasons...not even the Two Seasons...maybe a One Season hotel. First, the good news. The rates were unbeatable. The important systems generally worked, including the climate control, shower with hot water, toilet. Staff was nice. Now for the bad news. The hotel has lots of deferred maintenance, and sorely needs a renovation. It appears that not much has been touched since the 70's. Exterior metalwork is rusting; parking lot could use repaving; although non-smoking, rooms had a stale smoke odor. Carpeting and bedspreads were stained. The first room I was given had black mold on the wall under the sink, and the door appeared to have been previously kicked in. The second room was better. The TV remote didn't work, but the staff offered to fix that. The one sink with the operating stopper had a faucet that sprayed all over the place, so pressure had to be kept low. Thankfully I had a travel pillow and a couple of blankets in my truck, which I used on top of the bed. After what I had seen so far, who knows what the bedding was like, and I didn't want to find out. I won't be staying here again.

It's better to sleep in your car, this place had roaches, room smells very bad, no internet, parking lot is a mess, trashy and not safe. The people up front were very nice but they need to board this place up and bulldoze it, unbelievable this place is even open

Very bad shape! But ok if you need a cheap room.
The hotel was in dire condition. Trash everywhere!!! Lots of stains and damage in rooms. The only positive things were the office girl was super friendly, the pool was fairly clean and open, and we were lucky enough not to have noisy neighbors. If you need a very very cheap place to stay so you can shop at the outlets, site see, bush gardens or whatever then you can take a chance on this place. Otherwise don't waste your money!!! Spend a few extra bucks for a more decent hotel. They use the old fashioned lock and key which didn't work half the time. No ice machine and definitely no frills! No one at office when we checked out at 11a. People were throwing their hotel keys through a little open window. Only stay here if you are desperate!!!!!

Walked in to a room crawling with roaches, walked
This room had roaches everywhere in plain sight i killed 3 & went to front deak requested a refund. They refused to refund me and said they could spray the room. I said that was unacceptable and i wasnt staying, called management and still refused to refund me this place should be put out of business.

Good people, Good place
We're not The Hilton type people. We like affordable, well located motels. We've stayed here many times, and will do so again. The staff are down to earth people, and if we have a problem, they take care of it. Can't beat the price. I don't need room service. There's a convenience store across the street, and a pancake house that gives us 15% off with our motel receipt. Always a good deal. Thanks guys!

There was a leak from the toilet that caused a mess on the carpet. Room was clean just needs some repairs.
