We were aware when booking that a condo was assigned on the day of arrival, and that we would likely be solicited for a timeshare. We got a call at 2:30 on our arrival day (check-in is at 4) that they were overbooked and would need to move us to another nearby property (despite the fact that we had booked 3 months ago), and would call us back directly with details. I called back 2 hours later when I had not heard, and got the same story. I called again at 5:30, hoping we could check in, and was told they would call back ASAP. We did get an immediate call-back that time asking us to come to the original property. They booked us into a larger condo than we had reserved, and it was very nice. The concierge was very helpful in pointing out good restaurants, and was persistent but polite when I refused the timeshare presentation (I had to do so 3 times, but I was prepared for that).
Overall, the condo was wonderful, and I very much appreciated how well designed the accessible condo we ended up in was. The staff were friendly, the grounds were nice and the pools were excellent. We loved the location and our time at Williamsburg.
