"Don’t stay in Room 123. I don’t know that we got the same quality of stay as the others who gave such high reviews. I believe if we had a different room I would be giving a different review. Unfortunately, we were given what we were told upon arrival was the last room available. I had reserved a week or so in advance and we arrived at the hotel at approximately 830 or 900 pm. It didn’t seem like we were arriving so late as to get the last room, but we went with it and were stuck with our room for the night. My complaint is that it had a terrible smell. I have never smelled such an odor in a hotel before. I would just advise if you are ever assigned Room 123 go to a different hotel. Unless your nose doesn't work and then you’ll be fine. The hotel in general and our room appeared to be clean other than that. I would like to note that I am generally very intentional to take time to give great reviews when we go places and I try to be optimistic when things don’t always go as planned. We were going to go ahead and stay there again on our next trip coming back through town. But decided breakfast was also not our favorite and went with a different hotel. The staff was very nice when I explained our situation the next morning and she blocked a room ahead of time for us upstairs for our next stay. But we decided to go with only slightly more expensive hotel instead."

"An older hotel in need of love and attention. It was hamvention in nearby Xenia so everything gets booked early. Booked it about 2 months prior. All the furniture was leftover. The desk had one leg that was about to be fall off. I pointed it out to the staff after checking in. Much of the wooden furniture had paint slipped here and there. The bathtub. Took 20 minutes to drain. The positive thing was that the bed was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was ample. Nothing elaborate, but not bad. "

"The breakfast was the best part of the stay. There were plenty of towels, which was also nice. Bed was sufficiently comfortable. Staff was pleasant. Everything else was just ok. Not dirty but not completely clean rooms, no removal of trash daily, a lightbulb was barely hanging on in the lamp, and the coffee maker wasn’t clean. "

"This was a completely adequate place for my stay. Nothing special. Very clean. Carpets near elevator are quite worn and dirty. Breakfast was not much to write about but the sausage and eggs were fresh and hot. The biscuits looked extremely dry."
