The hotel wasn't too bad but several things took away from our stay. Our room, especially the carpet, seemed damp. Upon leaving we found out that they had recently had the carpets cleaned. Even with the AC on the room was humid. Our interaction with staff the first night was not that great, though. I called the service desk for help about an issue with the tv connection but before we had finished the call the lady hung up on me and never called back to check if we had figured out the problem. I really felt like they did not care! Even during check-in the person that waited on us wasn't very pleasant, just kind of cold. I wonder if it was because I used Expedia to book the room instead of my Hilton Honors. As a gold member we have always had great experiences and staff have been overly nice. Not this time. We will probably stay there again at some point, but I'll book thru Hilton to see if my theory is true. A couple last thoughts--the location and parking was great. The shower was wonderful and both of us slept well. Breakfast was good. Hopefully our next stay will be better.
