We stayed at Shalimar over the weekend and absolutely enjoyed our stay. Clean property with mini golf, table tennis, arcade room and heated pool gave my son plenty to do while we were at the property. The front desk lady was super nice and very welcoming, and made us feel like home. Overall it was a very pleasant stay, we will definitely come back.

Hotel room is very clean, vibe is very good vibe, very quiet until now. Room is very small, like a plane cabin. The pool needs to drain the water in it to not invite or accumulate bugs. Overall it's a very good hotel until now.

Mayra, Yes the building is older but was re-modeled in the early 2000's and the new ownership has been working very hard to update and upgrade the property. It does take time and we appreciate everyone understanding that we have a small window each year to do this work without having guests interrupted. We hope to see you again.

We liked that you offer 3 double beds in 2 rooms and the beds were very comfortable. Check in and check out was super easy and we got an excellent response when we made a request. We had a full size refrigerator which was wonderful! The hotel is so close to the beach. We had a great stay.

Lovely old motel. Although it’s probably vintage 60s, it’s extremely clean and comfortable. Normally rooms this close to the beach have a musty smell but not this place. Would absolutely stay there again! We stayed in the off-season and had the beach pretty much to ourselves!

The room was so nice ! Comfortable and clean, beautiful view .staff was very nice. This place was so comfortable .Loved this trip. We will be back . I would say yes for staying here very close to the beach. Also loved how they have colored lights as well so easy to find too.

We had a great stay ,staff was very friendly and helpful, very relaxed atmosphere . The only down fall was the parking, very close together and if you left and came back 9 times out of 10 you had to drive around the block to find a parking space people were even parking in the area where you walked up to the hotel entrance.

Thank you for your review. We have already ordered LVP and have a flooring upgrade planned for the first three floors beginning October 15th in preparation for the 2024 season. We have been wanting to upgrade the floors for some time now, but needed to address other issues that have delayed this project. We are very excited for the upgrades and can’t wait to share the final results with our guests.

My kids loved the pool. The rooms are outdated but we are still returning customers. The bedroom window could use some room darkening curtains. It is rather bright in the bedroom, even at night with the outside lights. Also woould be nice if the windows opened.

Regardless of what the dictionary defines a resort- this is NOT it. Ive been a motel 8 nicer than this. The room was dark and musty. The mirror had some type of mold growing on it. No iron, hair dryer or conditioner in rooms. You must go to 3rd floor to iron on a plastic fold up table. The walls are paper thin- we could hear a woman cursing at her poor toddler whom was crying. We asked if they were checked out the following morning and the front desk lied and said yes, we saw them later that afternoon. Towels are sand paper and the pool was filthy with band aids and all sorts. Pls avoid this until they make considerable changes.

We are sorry that you did not address your concerns with us during your stay, as we always strive to solve problems as they arise to make each guest happy. Our housekeeping staff is always happy to take care of any issue involved with cleanliness as long as they are made aware of it. We do not advertise having irons or hairdryers in the rooms, however we have them available at the front desk for use at any time by request. We ask that the irons are used in the laundry room for fire safety purposes. During your stay, you did make our desk staff aware of an issue regarding the noise and how it made you uncomfortable. Contrary to your implications, the desk agent you spoke to did not lie about the aforementioned room being checked out, but simply misunderstood which room was being inquired about as you had mentioned them being the room closest to the elevator, which they were not. We offered to move you to a different floor to avoid further discomfort during your stay, which you declined. We informed our overnight staff of the issue and he made rounds to your rooms at least once per hour during the night, which afterward he reported no disturbance. Had you communicated with our staff further, we would have made you aware of the steps being taken to solve these issues. We hope our answer to your review gives you a new perspective on your stay with us.

The Shalimar is our go to destination in Wildwood. Property is clean and quiet, beds are super comfortable. Staff is friendly and accommodating . Appreciated the toaster in the kitchen area allowing us to have breakfast in our room. Hotel is close enough to the Crest bandshell that we were able to enjoy three outdoor concerts during our stay. Hotel is easy walking distance to boardwalk and beach is just steps away.

Clean, basic, close to beach and boardwalk but far enough away that the sound and mayhem didn’t travel…bike shop down the street made the boardwalk SUPER accessible.
