Overall, it was a good property and we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and mostly updated. The air conditioning was loud and the room always felt damp-but otherwise the room was good. The location was awesome and staff was welcoming and accommodating!

I am sorry you didn't have a better experience. The humidity has been very high and that makes it harder for the air conditioning to remove the dampness. Did you report the noisy a/c to the office? Perhaps maintenance could have been of assistance. I apologize for your inconvenience.

Friendly staff. Great views. On site restaurant. 30 second walk to the beach. No problems parking. Nice ceramic floors. Clean room. Nice towels. Excellent water pressure.

Our third time staying here and they never disappoint!! This time we got the ocean front view! The morning and evening views were incredible!! Everyone working here makes you feel like you’re home, from the charming ladies at checkin to Jamaican me Hungry to the kind maintenances day cleaning women.. We will definitely be coming back!!

Damp room, checked out early
I have stayed here before because of the great location. The hotel has always been a little shabby but this time it was extremely uncomfortable. The air conditioner leaked and soaked our belongings. They were fully booked and could not give us a new room. They had maintenance stop the leaking but the unit no longer dehumidified. This made everything in the room damn and uncomfortable. We ended up feeling sick from the dampness in the room and check out early. The bed was wet, our clothes were wet and we were waking up congested. I would never go back. This experience ruined my vacation.

Check in was smooth. Our room was actually ready early … the room had porcelain tiled floors (wood look) which I was surprised and pleased with. The efficiency is just what we needed with two small children. Would return!

The facility was absolutely the best hotel with outstanding cleanliness, beds where very very comfortable, and kitchenette was fully stacked. Shower was really really good and front desk was very very friendly. Can't wait to back there again next year.

Room was very small (stayed in a double queen room). Refrigerator only - a coffee maker would be a nice addition. Beautiful ocean view and nice balcony (but very small). Pool is nice, salt water which I prefer.

Received several messages in all caps about bringing $20 cash deposit in case I lose thier keys. Also informed me if I'm not there by 6 & don't call they will give my room to someone else despite having paid in full, What the?!? Not "resort Oceanfront room w private balcony. Room wasn't ready at check-in, waited about 15 mins. Not bad but after long drive & message about losing my reservation if not timely - super annoying. Paid my $20 cash deposit for keys they also put my cc on file...overkill. Room felt damp always, floor felt gritty always. Rust on bathroom fixtures, walls look very aged, no coffee maker, no microwave but there's a mini fridge. Super small room, small bathroom, small balcony. One tiny elevator. Rude employee reminded us more then once within 2 minutes to turn off the hose when we were done like we can't read the giant sign or understand the first time they said it. Drunk crowd hanging out on all the balconies and pool. Dog barking constantly. Ends up air conditioner was leaking into the wall of the room, floor would get wet. Hence the constant damp feeling. Woman at desk apologized but was not surprised said something like they have been trying to fix it.... Another employee thought we were in another room - also having the same problems... Clearly a common issue at the hotel. Was not alerted of the problem at check in. Was cheaper then other hotels in the area but far from inexpensive. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it

I am sorry you had such a disappointing stay. Yes we do charge a key deposit. Yes we return it when you return the keys. With the help situation all over the country, it has been a challenge getting the rooms ready by check in. I am sorry you had to wait 15 minutes. We were required by law to accept a service dog for a girl with elilepsy. it was very disappointing that it barked so often. The group on the second floor was a surprise to us also. We knew there were 4 rooms together, but other reservations came in under different names. The rudeness of the employee is unacceptable and will be dealt with. Please accept my apology for your disappointment.

As I read in other review, this hotel is not high end by any means but it’s very clean and the location is GREAT. The staff is friendly. We enjoyed our stay there and will come back for sure

No-frills motel, great beach access
This is a no-frills motel, and at the time we went before July 4, rather expensive for the amenities provided. They don't provide the usual shampoo / lotion / coffee, which we didn't know beforehand. Staff are not impolite, but not very inviting either. The floors of the suite were mopped daily, but remained sticky to walk on, so we wore our shoes / slippers inside the suite throughout the stay. The restaurant housed in the building (Jamaica Me Hungry) was great for breakfast and lunch. The towels that were provided were clean. The locker, fridge, microwave and kitchen utensils provided were helpful for our family. Great proximity to the beach, and they have a heated pool. Also, liked the covered car parking, especially for the hot days.

First time at Regal. Great couple days beautiful room with an ocean view. Had an elevator which was much appreciated. Plenty of chairs at the pool. Restaurant on premises. Delicious

I loved the Ocean view. I was highly disappointed in the room size. The bathroom was so small for the price. I had to fix the showerhead bcuz it was leaking. Their was no vanity to set things on. Their was no room in the bathroom to get dressed or get ready. The balcony was great, but i could hardly utilize it bcuz the people in the next room where always out smoking. Oh, and i killed a cockroach in our room too. Their was no coffee machine or microwave that are normally standard in a room. The staff was very nice and the cleaning lady was great too. I highly doubt i would recommend staying their again. Which is disappointing bcuz the location and the view where GREAT. The price for what we got otherwise was not so great.

The room is fairly small, but we think the view and location make up for that. Only our efficiency units have microwaves & coffee makers. Any time there is an issue with plumbing or other things let the office know and they will contact maintenance.

My wife and I loved the hotel. Not a big fancy hotel by any means. Very clean updated rooms. The staff was amazing and super friendly. Definitely a family style hotel. Right on the Beach . Couldn’t ask fir a better hotel to stay at fir either a weekend getaway or a week vacation. I highly recommend

Everything was so clean and wonderful! My only thing was that since we were so close to the beach, the floors throughout the room were sooo sticky and sandy and we had to wear shoes or socks the whole time but the room was cleaned to perfection otherwise

The guest came to the office to complain about a dirty coffee pot. He was concerned the room wasn't clean because of the covid. I had housekeeping strip the room top to bottom, replaced all the linens and gave them a new coffee pot. I heard nothing further from them so I assumed everything was okay. When the woman left, she made no comments about the room or the reason she was leaving. We have guests leave a day early because of weather conditions or other personal reasons. We don't know there is a problem unless we are told.

Enjoyed our stay at the Regal Plaza Resort
Great location, right on the beach! The room rate was very reasonable for a Labor Day weekend. We stayed in a family suite with a separate bedroom, living room and full kitchen. Caveat, due to COVID you have to bring your own plates, cups, utensils, coffee etc. Check in was easy, no issues. You do need a $20 cash deposit for the room keys at check in. The hotel promptly refunded the $20 upon checkout. The room looked and smelled clean upon arrival. The only disappointment we had was with the air conditioner and the musty, damp smell. Once the air conditioner was running it smelled. The hotel is older and outdated, but overall, we were pleased with the room. It is a 3 star hotel as described. It is not a 4 star so don't expect that. The room was very spacious and we took advantage of using the kitchen for meals because most of the restaurants had a 2 hr wait for breakfast, lunch and dinner so it was easier to cook in the room. We went food shopping at the Acme located about 2 miles from the hotel. Everything was close by. There is a "Jamaican me hungry" restaurant onsite. The breakfast was excellent. Although, we had to wait about 45+ mins to be seated. Parking was okay, but can be frustrating. One day there was no spots left because of non-guests parking. The hotel does enforce with police giving tickets. Hotel was accommodating and told us to park in the staff spot or in front until a spot opened and they would pay for any parking tickets. Someone entered our room when we were out and emptied a full bottle of vodka refilling it with water so it froze in the freezer. Although the manager reimbursed us we were appalled that someone employed by them would do this. We are also concerned our credit cards are jeopardized. There were no security cameras in the hallway either. Overall sure to the lack of security I would not stay here again.

This guest entered my lobby waving a large glass bottle with frozen liquid in it and asked me if vodka will freeze in the freezer. I had no idea who he was, but I answered no. He proceeded to accuse my housekeeper of stealing his vodka and replacing it with water. My housekeeper is a young mother of three and is not a drinker. which I told him. Rather than get into an argument in front of my other guests I paid him $36.00 for the bottle. We have never had an incident like this, I don't know what happened to his vodka and none of my other employees would have entered his room. He decided, without asking the woman he accused, that she was guilty. Why does he think his credit cards were in jeopardy as we provide a room safe for their valuables?
