Great location, right on the beach! The room rate was very reasonable for a Labor Day weekend. We stayed in a family suite with a separate bedroom, living room and full kitchen. Caveat, due to COVID you have to bring your own plates, cups, utensils, coffee etc. Check in was easy, no issues. You do need a $20 cash deposit for the room keys at check in. The hotel promptly refunded the $20 upon checkout. The room looked and smelled clean upon arrival. The only disappointment we had was with the air conditioner and the musty, damp smell. Once the air conditioner was running it smelled. The hotel is older and outdated, but overall, we were pleased with the room. It is a 3 star hotel as described. It is not a 4 star so don't expect that. The room was very spacious and we took advantage of using the kitchen for meals because most of the restaurants had a 2 hr wait for breakfast, lunch and dinner so it was easier to cook in the room. We went food shopping at the Acme located about 2 miles from the hotel. Everything was close by. There is a "Jamaican me hungry" restaurant onsite. The breakfast was excellent. Although, we had to wait about 45+ mins to be seated. Parking was okay, but can be frustrating. One day there was no spots left because of non-guests parking. The hotel does enforce with police giving tickets. Hotel was accommodating and told us to park in the staff spot or in front until a spot opened and they would pay for any parking tickets.
