"The hotel in itself was nice, modern and the location is in a quiet area. However, unfortunately, we had multiple issues with our stay. Checking in process was easy and seamless, however upon entering the room, our bathroom door was jammed shut and took some prying to open. After adjusting the bed, it became clear it hadn’t been cleaned properly as there was a suspicious white stains on the headboard. The hairdryer looked like it had set it self on fire and melted. The plug socket near the sink was hanging off (BIG HAZARD). The morning after our first night, we went to raise these issues with the front desk. The first person we spoke to was so disinterested and was pre occupied doing something on her computer, even after asking us what the issues were. The second staffer then came along and asked us to recall the issues again, as the first staffer couldn’t recite what we had just said. We noticed how the second staffer didn’t write down any of what we told her - which was interesting because we had more than one issue. Upon getting back to the room, the only issue that had been rectified was a new hairdryer. The stains were still on the headboard and the bed had not been changed, just remade with existing sheets. Overall we are disappointed in the stay and wouldn’t recommend. To boot, the customer service was borderline non existent. We have photos of everything too. "

"tRAFFIC CAN BE VERY BAD. cONSTRUCTION IN THE STREET. No washing machine. Food reasoanable priced . Room nicer than many in Europe. Parking ok. "

"Room needed some personal touches to make it feel more homely. No artwork on walls. Milk was not replenished daily so called to reception who explained that there would be a €12.50 charge to bring some to the room."

"Good heat in the room. Rooms were clean,there was a mini fridge,safe in the closet,coffee maker with reg and decafe provided. It was a quick walk to and from the trainstation,and a Jumbo grocery store a few blocks away. Several restaurant options close by,as well as many shops. Daily maid service and on site reataurant and fitness facility. I really enjoyed Alkmaar and my stay at Hotel Amranth."

"Comfortable bed, nice staff, nice hotel. Location is poor, far away from the centre and only accessible by ferry or metro from the centre, meaning we couldn’t pop back in the middle of the day. Breakfast was ok. Room only cleaned ever other day. There was popcorn and a water bottle under our bed which hadn’t been noticed by the cleaners. Soap and shampoo were available jn annoying pumps which didn’t work well."
