A Very Nice Condo! Great Location
We had a very nice White Salmon/Hood River weekend with this condo being home base. My only regret is the beautiful view was behind us. Not accessible from our outside area. We did have a nice garden to enjoy while sitting outside.

Cute little place, with amazing views
We stayed at Michaels place during our trip through White Salmon. The casita is small unite above their garage. The owner lives on the property next to the unit. The unit has a small living room and kitchen that is well stocked with the basics. Simple breakfast and dinner can be made. The shower door is unique but nothing you can't get used to quickly. The property sits above the town of White Salmon and is about a 5 minute drive down to the main street area. The town is very cute and quant and has plenty to offer. The views from the local street has amazing views of Mt Hood on a clear day and is very quiet in the evening. One note on the unit, is while it state there is an AC unit inside the rental its in the living room area and a small desk fan is used in the bedroom for ventilation as well as the large windows. Not a deal breaker, but on a hot summer evening could be an issue. Would recommend for future renters

White Salmon Gem
We're frequent visitors to the Hood River area who've recently become enamored with White Salmon. Of course for its relative quiet compared to the chaos of Hood River, but also for the cool town itself and the easy access to not only Hood River, but also the beauty found on the less-visited north side of the Columbia. And staying at this place only further cemented our belief that White Salmon is the place to stay when visiting the area. The apartment is very clean, well stocked, an easy one mile walk to the town center, and as a bonus is also pet friendly for those who wish to travel with their pets. Even though we were travelling with our young dog, we'd absolutely stay here if we weren't. And that's not always the case with pet friendly places to stay. The owners are very accommodating and went out of their way to make us feel welcome while still providing us privacy. We will definitely return.

Explore the Gorge Days

We were very comfortable in the VRBO. It felt like a treehouse with trees all around and a view into them. It was quiet! We took advantage of downtown White Salmon some evenings, or cooked at home. We had everything we needed, and Mike was very gracious about checking in to see that all was well. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Place
The loft rental was perfect accommodations for us on our visit to the Columbia River area. After a little curve ball with our arrival (mixed up dates of arrival), Michael bent over backwards to adjust and get the unit ready and make our stay rewarding and memorable. Situated in White Salmon and with panoramic views of the Area, this unit is perfect for couples traveling in the area. I would highly recommend this property and plan on staying here in the future.

Cutest place ever!
When we walked in the first thing that I said was “This is the cutest place ever!” It was the perfect place for our family of four. Great living space to hang out, play board games and watch a movie. Air conditioning was fantastic to have while the temperature outside hit 112 degrees. The patio was a nice place to hang out as well. Kitchen has everything you need if you choose to eat in. Very quiet too. Fortunately we brought a couple of indoor fans as the bedroom wasn’t cooling off from the air conditioner that is located in the living space. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

White Salmon Stay
The place was very comfortable and extremely clean. We had everything we needed. The directions on how to find the parking spot was a bit confusing. The only drawback on the kitchen was the absence of an exhaust fan, but perhaps they don’t expect guests to cook. We thought a binder with local restaurants and points of interest in White Salmon would be helpful. A little information regarding the unit would be nice - where to empty trash, recycle etc. having said all that, we would stay again!

Great neighborhood!
This well priced cute little apartment is in a lovely neighborhood, there is a nice front porch and outstanding peekaboo view of the gorge out the bedroom window. The green leafy trees all around give it the feel of a tree house. It was just right for the two of us and our two dogs. The overall condition was clean if a bit well worn. It had all the basics we needed but a few things we wish we had known: There was no smoke detector that we could see, which was concerning, especially because the microwave and toaster oven are tucked in a cupboard under the eaves and the apartment is over a garage where flammable items may be stored. The outdoor grill was too funky and rusty to use. Finally, the sheets and towels smelled very strongly of scented laundry products. This may not bother everyone, but in the future I will ask the owner about this before renting a property.

Cozy Getaway and Beautiful Neighborhood
White Salmon is the hidden gem of the gorge and this place really highlights that. Located in a beautiful neighborhood with excellent views of the gorge and Mt. Hood, this little guest suite is perfect for a weekend getaway. Clean, private, cozy, easy check-in/check-out, and killer views - what more can you ask for?

Clean, cozy little getaway.
This is a great spot! The place is small (~500 sq ft if I had to guess), but there is a nice separation between bedroom and living/kitchen area. The porch faces away from the house so you still have quite a bit of privacy. The kitchen came stocked with everything we needed too. My only suggestion would be to add some sort of lighting over the stove. It’s tough to see what you’re doing when it’s a rainy day/dark outside. Would return again!

Small, but nice
The apartment was nicely furnished and comfortable, and White Salmon is a lovely little town. The neighborhood is quiet and has nice views of the river and gorge. The rental is essentially the size of a studio apartment, so the four person rating seems a bit ambitious, and the apartment really has no view unless you stand in a tiny corner of the bedroom. Regardless, it was comfortable and warm for a distanced COVID getaway.

It is a one bedroom with a separate sleeping area (queen sleeper sofa) in the living room. Families with small kids have enjoyed having two separate sleeping spaces. Overall very nice. A couple of cleaning issues.....not sure how long prior to our arrival it was occupied but there were cob webs in the sink. Also some coffee mugs and plates were not clean....given,Covid..that was a downer...but we washed them thoroughly....very cool area to walk...would return!

A Nice Getaway

Cozy apartment in an upscale neighborhood about a mile from the restaurants and shops of White Salmon (a very pleasant walk with some up and down). Owner is on premises which come with a very friendly retriever for animal lovers.

The reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is just some little things. A few light bulbs were out, water comes out of shower if you don't watch (the floor is so pretty) would hate to have it ruined. But other than that we enjoyed the area so much and it was so clean and plenty of room for us and our two dogs and everything you need basically is there for you. The owner is right there and seems so sweet. Our dogs loved playing in the snow. Thank you so much Michael!!!

Just Perfect
We had such a wonderful time. We were in town for a wedding and chose to stay here and we are so glad we did! This home was immaculate and allowed us to truly relax. The bed was as comfy as our bed at home. Michael was also wonderfully kind and allowed us to check in early before the rehearsal dinner. Nothing about this unit felt like a rental - it just felt like home.

Exactly what we enjoy. Very quiet, clean, and spacious. Loved that they were so accommodating! Just a short drive to Hood River!, with that being said nice to have a place away from it all. Would definitely stay there again when we head back!

The view from the street where this place is located is amazing. I couldn't believe that I could see the beautiful Colombia River Gorge and Mount Hood from the same place. Wow! Stunning! Great hidden gem in the middle of a fantastic neighborhood offering incredible mt hood views
Accommodations offered everything we needed! Comfortable and spacious for the two of us. Private feel like being in a treehouse w lovely deck and comfortable outside furniture. Our only regret was the lack of views from the property itself.

Clean and easy
Three close friends and I were on our annual trip to a new city, and this place made it east to explore Hood River and White Salmon. Michael made sure that the place was clean for us and took care of my friends who arrived before I did. It's a nice little guest house built over the garage. (I didn't hear the garage open once.) If you need something easy to make your home base for your trip in the Columbia Gorge, this place works well!

The space we needed
While in town for a family memorial gathering, we stayed just around the loop from the event, in your quiet sanctuary. Loved the rain sound on the metal roof, a dry entryway, and comfortable bed. Thank you for the extra mattress.

Great bungalow in a wonderful location!
We were in the Hood River area for the weekend, and this rental was perfect for our needs. It’s in a beautiful, quiet location on the bluff, close to downtown White Salmon and just a short drive to Hood River. It seemed bigger than 400 square feet; there was plenty of space for three adults and two dogs. We mistakenly left a couple of items at the house and the owner was kind enough to locate them and mail them to me at no charge. So nice!

Nice little unit in a good location
We loved the location and the apartment itself. It was beautiful and very clean. I would have really liked to give it 5 stars, but we had a few issues with it: 1. The owner was very responsive ahead of time, but unfortunately when we checked in, he was out of town and unreachable, didn't leave us any alternate contacts, and didn't get back to us until late that night after we've gone to sleep. 2. The above was an issue because we were a family of 4, and relied on the promise from the owner to provide an inflatable mattress for our 2 little kids to sleep. It was there, but partially deflated, and we couldn't find any pump. Only after a few hours of not hearing back from the owner, needing to put our little kids to bed, I decided to try knocking on the house next door, which seemed like it might be the owners. Turned out it was, and there was a couple house sitting for him. They tried helping, and eventually found a car battery operated pump. I had to carry the mattress up to the street to inflate on the car, and back, which did the trick. The mattress ended up being very uncomfortable and leaked again, so the next night we had the kids just sleep on the sofa and couch. 3. Blankets - only 1 thin blanket provided for each of our kids, which turned out to be insufficient. In the morning we asked the house sitters for more blankets and they found some. Other minor things to be aware of: - The unit is minimally equipped. Don't expect any coffee or sugar for example. - Expect to bump your head a few times on the many unusual angular ceilings. - Expect to have to carry your luggage from the street down some stairs, and then back up to the unit which sits on top of a garage. Overall we did have a great time, and would recommend renting this place. It was a quiet and lovely location, close enough to hood river. White Salmon has a wonderful bakery, and a good drive in espresso shack. I think if only the owner would have provided alternate contact for while he's out of town and unreachable, things would have been a lot smoother.

Great location and Quiet
This is a great place to stay and close to everything in White Salmon and Hood River! It is a great place to relax and just read a book. The only thing I would say is make sure if you have a dog with you to keep it on its leash. I had a run-in with someone on a walk and the lady freaked out on me because my dog was not on a leash as I was getting my dog out of the car. She threatened to call the police and demanded my name and address. This property met all my expectations. Michael's property is great for a couple!
