    Providence Cottage consists of a kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, dining room with seating for six people, and sitting room with TV and woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of a king-size with TV, double with TV, and a second-floor twin (zip/link), along with a bathroom. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with patio and furniture, with designated, off-road parking for two cars. Travel cot, highchair, and stair-gate available on request. Four well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. You’ll find a shop in 1.2 miles, pub in 1 mile, and river in 0.7 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen, and towels are all inc. in rent. Providence Cottage is a delightful base for a North Yorkshire escape. Note - 2nd floor twin/double room has a low beam on entry. Note: Good housekeeping bond of 350 GBP. Note: Garden has elevated terrace.



    The Neighborhood:

    Sleights is ideal for both a coastal and country holiday. Just 4 miles from the picturesque Yorkshire coastline, it is also on the edge of the dramatic North Yorkshire moors country, littered with attractive villages and scenery, which is very popular with walkers and cyclists. Though quiet, Sleights boasts a pub, a fish and chip shop, an antique shop, a butcher's, a bakery, a hairdressers, a Post Office within a Spar shop. The North Yorkshire Steam Railway terminus is a few minutes’ drive with steam trains coming through Sleights, together with regular public transport to and from the nearby port of Whitby. Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire. It is an atmospheric town of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a picturesque harbour, safe sandy beaches and, of course, the abbey, reached by the famous 199 steps.
