A lovely little cottage, tastefully furnished and close to the beach, ideal for a short winter break
A lovely little cottage, tastefully furnished and close to the beach, ideal for a short winter break. The central heating was effective, fortunate as it was during a cold spell, and the log burner added extra cosiness (a few complementary logs for the first night would have been a nice touch as we arrived too late to buy some from the shop). The directions were a bit misleading as they implied it would be difficult to use the car to drop off and collect luggage without a long reverse in the narrow streets, in fact there was no problem with driving down, parking roughly opposite the general stores at the entrance to the narrow street the cottage lies at the end of, and turning to drive back up the hill to the car park. Excellent food at Brambles and the Victoria Hotel + 2 good pubs for a drink.
