I've only given 3 for local amenities for this apartment basing the answer on Commondale itself, which is tiny and somewhat off the beaten track. There is a pub, but not much else. However, that's what we wanted! We had a super week. The apartment is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. Yes it's fairly compact but it was more than adequate for two roly-poly ladies. The beds were very comfortable, and the weather turned somewhat whilst we were there but we were still perfectly comfortable. We did meet the owner whilst we were there and he was very approachable - if we'd had any kind of problem I'm sure he would have been very helpful. We didn't have a dog with us, but there would have been plenty of room for a small/medium one, though a Great Dane might have been a bit of a stretch! We had a lovely week in York Apartment, and I would certainly be happy to return there.
