Perhaps next time you stay, book a kitchenette unit, with seating for eating, or go one step further and book our large kitchen unit with full size lounge suite and dining table etc. Regarding the toilet, unfortunately, had we have been aware that the toilet bowl has a crack we would have moved you to a different unit. We find it quite annoying that a guest can leave an anonymous review without any explanation, giving us no opportunity to respond or rectify. Perhaps the next time you care to place a bad review, make yourself known to the establishment so they can take the appropriate action to rectify your problem. Thank you.

Regarding the cleanliness, our housemaids are of great standard, our units may be a little dated however, usually clean, well presented and comfortable so am surprised for the negative comment on the cleanliness. Wish you had have bought it to our attention so we had the opportunity to address it if this was the case however, we appreciate all feedback.

I am glad you took the time to write a review, it lets us express our opinion also. From the time you checked in, we had nothing but trouble with your group. Firstly, you booked for 2 guests, and in fact there were 5. The manager was good enough to let you in without an extra charge for the extra guest. Later in the evening, the manager came to your unit on 2 occasions to warn you about the noise being made out the front of your unit while your group were outside drinking. The next morning, another guest in a unit next to you complained that the noise continued from inside the unit until 4.30am! After which time, come 10am there was still no sign of any of your group departing, I phoned your unit and you agreed to depart soon. Come 10.30am, I came and knocked on your door and one of your guests stated you would be out in 5 minutes, come 11am I came back to your door, entered while you all were collecting your belongings and simply because I wanted to ensure that there were no damages to the unit due to the revolting mess and foul smell of alcohol which was very evident from the door. Your swearing was also unacceptable, showing no respect for other guests in the complex. The state of unit was very messy, alcohol spilled on the floor, marks on the walls beside the bed, furniture all rearranged, rubbish everywhere... so yes, I was ensuring you guys were leaving! For future reference you certainly will not be welcome to stay with us again. So 'my' mannerism comes down to 'you' I'm afraid, your behaviour and lack of respect for our property and other guests was unacceptable.

Dear guest. Mostly, guests who are unfamiliar with Wanganui will ask on arrival where specific restaurants are and we are only too happy to point you in the right direction. Yes most people have google these days however we still accommodate those who do not and carry lost of information and maps in our reception area. Sorry for any delays in checking you in, there is a telephone on the reception desk that you just pick up and someone will answer where ever they are in the complex. Regarding the soundproofing, we generally do not have complaints about the units being too noisy as we are set well back off the road so avoid the unwanted noises. If you had have expressed your concerns we would have tried to assist in any way possible. Sorry you did not enjoy your stay and hope you find accommodation more suitable to your needs next time you are in Wanganui.

Hi Mary. Our range is budget studio units, studio units, kitchenette units and family units. They do vary a little so please inquire next time you come to stay. We are dated, some calling it retro!, but tidy and clean. Thank you for taking time out to post a review, we appreciate the feedback.
