"Very cute old hotel 2 blocks from ferry. No AC in our room but we didn’t need it with open windows and ceiling fan! Having no staff there wasn’t a problem and they have dishes and a microwave in the lobby for making oatmeal or heating up leftovers. They set out lemonade and cookies in the afternoon. The only thing that I would suggest thats missing to have in the lobby would be a water cooler/filter refillable station. PARKING: We parked for the day up about 2 blocks in the 10 hr lot, then around 4 or 5, we’d bring it back down to street parking in the evening and in the am, take the car back to the free 10 hr lot not far away."

"We stayed in the Middleton Suite. It was larger than we expected and included a well-appointed kitchen and dining area. The gas woodstove in the sitting area was a nice touch and warmed us on a chilly morning. Overall, very comfortable for an overnight stay!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay here. It is a convient location and very clean. We were a little concerned that it was going to be really noisey and hard to sleep. The town is pretty quiet at night so that was not a problem. However, be prepared to wake up at 6am as that is when the delivery trucks start and they will wake you up. The little patio is great to sit and observe the great views and action on the ferry/street. There was no can opener and very minimal kitchen things - like a hotel, not a home. There is a hide-a-bed, but no linen was found for it."

Lots of natural light and very comfortable with two bedrooms and two baths.Be aware there are three sets of steps to this unit - no elevator. This unit are not very soundproof from the unit above - the noise coming from the unit above (heavy footfall mostly) was really annoying, even with good earplugs in. Would be great if the upper unit had WTW carpeting! Bed pillows were too thick and difficult to sleep comfortably - otherwise everything else was great."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A very convenient location. The room was comfortable & nicely decorated. The common area was useful - the labeled bins in the refrigerators & extra coffee supplies were appreciated! The road noise from the trucks coming off the early morning ferries was pretty intense, but without air conditioning, leaving windows open was necessary. This may be specific to the China Pearl suite as it faces directly onto the main street of town where all ferry traffic exits. Communication with owners was good when they needed to enter to check on a plumbing issue, but both the front door & suite door were left unlocked by whoever entered. That was a little upsetting to find when we returned that morning, but no harm in the end. Overall, I would recommend."

"July 2026We enjoyed how the location was central to shopping and the waterfront. Inside the condo it was clean with modern and comfortable furniture. Everything we needed to cook meals was provided, which was helpful along with the corner grocery store to make vegan meals. My only observation is the noisiness from the upstairs guest, but we were able to use the bedrooms air/AC system to mask most noises. Overall, we would happily stay again."
